Since the 2025 will have the 12v removed what's everyone's thoughts on what to do with the huge panel with only one plug? What can we add?

I think mine just has a blank plate anyways. I dont remember anything being there on my 24 since its an xl.

I had 110v and 12v in my old truck and used the 110 one time im 4 years so having nothing there is not an issue for me.

I have a fas-top tonneau and soft topper combo and I've been thinking where the 12v outlet used to be might be a convenient place for me to run a brake wire to some sort of plug so it would be easy to plug in a third brake light when I deploy the soft topper, rather than deal with the trailer plug and an adapter or something. Clearly I haven't thought through the details, like the type of plug I'd use, but it would be pretty simple to do.

I didn't have an immediate need for the 12v plug in the bed, but disappointed it was removed.

I'm curious how much space there is in the blank area and behind the plug. Likely not enough for small storage.

Fords doctored pictures.

There has to be space. Wonder if you can just add a 12v if the wiring harness is still back there?

Can anyone with access to updated schematics confirm if they have indeed removed the 12v plug wiring, or can anyone with a 2025 remove the cover bolted to the bed and see if there appears to be unused wire harness? I'm just curious if Ford did a full send removal and revision or if they just revised the cover and removed the 12v plug itself. It would be nice if the wiring were still present.

Just for s&g’s has anyone added up all the differences between the 24 & 25 RR they seem to be adding up. Shifter, 12 volt, someone said they were missing the 110 volt.

I am waiting for my ‘25 Lariat, but in the meantime on my ‘15 F-150, it was simple enough to run a 12v lead from the battery with an inline fuse to the bed. Works great for 10years. I use both the 110V and 12V in the bed. Also, can add a voltage indicator so you know if the battery is getting drained.

The 110v is still there and the shifter is the same.
