2025 Ranger - Bed 12 Volt Outlet - Final Update

I am still trying to figure out if the panel you all are ordering will work on my OCT 25 Ranger XLT.

Here is the back of my current AC only panel. The connecting pin assembly is not immediately behind the panel as shown in Dino Jockey's post #41. My connector is down near the driver side area of the bed. See posts # 95. I must be missing something. If the replacement panel arrives with a pin connector assembly close to the back of the panel, I don't think it would reach to where my current pin connector assembly is. And, there is no pin connector assembly in the space between the bed wall and the driver side rear fender.

Am I just overlooking something?

‘the panel comes with a new cable as shown. You need to verify the plug underneath that this goes into has a purple and black wire to match with the red green wires

Thanks much @Luth33 and @purdyd. I do have the two wires mentioned in purdy's post and ordered the panel today. Hopefully, the install will be as easy for me as others on this thread. Will report back after it arrives.

I have the 2025 STX model, and mine had the blank panel to begin with, but it had the wiring harness plugged off underneath next to the frame. It was a simple plug and play process. Literally took five minutes.

Sounds like I have good reason to be optimistic. Mine had the AC plug only, but like others I have some equipment that still has the old style "cigarette lighter" plugs that I want to run from the bed while heading down the road.

So I finally got my brand new 2025 Ranger XLT. After examining several threads and finally seeing the harness on the truck, there IS no change to the wiring harness to the bed power outlets.

I purchased a 2024 panel - the part number superseded to N1WZ-19A464-CC. It was about $100.

I unplugged the old one, pulled out the two christmas tree supports off the old one, put the new one in, I have 120VAC and 12VDC in my bed. No FORSCAN, no wiring, nothing. Push, pull, click, click.

I just now did the same, and it is truly plug-n-play. I timed myself just for the heck of it, and, once set up, it was almost exactly 5 minutes from start to finish (giving myself a 1 minute grace period to get my old self up off the ground).

For 2025 the Ranger no longer includes a 12 volt outlet in the bed. Has anyone added one yet? Is the plug still on the harness? Inquiring minds want to know.

Short answer, I did find a connector in the sidewalk, but chose not to use it.

I added a 12v port last week. Picked it up from Amazon. Has a voltmeter, on off switch, 3 USB ports an a cigarette lighter style port. Wanted it for my electric fridge and Starlink. I ran a 12v line direct from the battery (in a protective sleeve) vs the available connector behind the sidewall so I don't need the car switch on to run it. To protect the battery I installed a Victron battery protector. This prevents the battery from fully draining if I leave everything plugged in the back for too long.
Biggest challenge was finding a place for the Victron which has to be near the battery. So far has worked well.

BTW, using Chat GPT was surprisingly helpful selecting the right size Victron and shutoff settings. Before I chose not to use it, Chat GPT even helped identify the available connector by looking at photos of the underside I uploaded.

Ok awesome to hear you've done this! I am prepping to do something very similar. Got a 10awg run from the battery, fused up front. Planning to ground to the frame just below the bed. I was looking at using a waterproof project box mounted to the panel to protect connectors, since I couldn't find an inherently waterproof setup. What did you end up using, or do you just have exposed blade connectors behind the panel? I like the idea of the Victron protector, it is actually quite cheap. Was looking at a time delay relay that I could set a custom cutoff time for, for the same purpose, but those are more expensive.
