Coming in late, but don't use the 4D eliminator. I had one and it was causing an update to fail in the gateway module, caused chaos. The fact that is plugs into the gateway module is a red flag. Most of those devices piggy pack off the button itself, and just replicate a button press.

Don't use the 4D one!

@Aonarch You seem to be one of the few, if not the only person, I have seen having issues with the 4D Tech device. Mine seems to work flawlessly

I also think the 4D really just does replicate the button press. Every time I start the truck I see the message stating "Auto Start Stop Disabled", just like if I had pressed the button. I think the "smarts" in the little circuit board store the state from when the truck was turned off

The 4D Tech works great but if you don't drive the truck a lot (3200 miles in 14 months) the battery will drain. The cable uses constant voltage to keep the auto start circuit alive so it will remember its last place. other than that it works flawlessly.

I dont understand why y'all cant push the button? You have to push buttons all the time when you use your truck. What's one more button? I have used 4d techs bambi mode flash but thats it. I did not like the idea of plugging into the gateway module.

It's not that we're lazy, it's that we forget to push it. Then when you get to your first stop and the engine shuts off it just pisses you off as it's just one more cycle time on the starter and other components. Not thinking about it is nice also.

Death by a thousand cuts. I already hate how many buttons need pushed lol. I've gone my entire life without needing or wanting an auto start stop and I'm not adding pushing that button every time I get in the car into my repertoire. I want to open a door, turn the key, and go!

Yeah, since the dealer pick-up I always pushed it. Even on the test drive. LOL. I have to admit, there are a few times I forgot and yes it's very annoying. ASS does not work well with auto-hold. Basically makes the feature moot due to the delay but 99.99% of the time I always push the button when I start the car, since I always have the park break on. Two button step. I get it though!

If I could turn it off in forscan I would do that as well. Let's hope we get the option down the road.

The 4dtech module does not drain the battery. I ran an experiment personally when I was having battery issues, and removing mine made 0 impact on the drain I was experiencing. If yours is on when the truck is off then your unit is likely faulty.

Putting me in the same boat with Aonarch with the 4D Tech device causing issues. Worked great for a month and then the truck started throwing errors of all kinds. The errors included Blind Spot Detection, Pre-Collision Assist Not Available, Hill Start Assist Warning, Park Aid Malfunction, Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power. They would just start randomly coming up on the screen while driving down the road.

I took it into the dealer and $600 bucks later they traced it back to the 4D Tech cable as the issue. Pulled it out and 5 months of no error codes being thrown. So cause and affect says it was the 4D Tech ASS.
