My Android Auto disconnects so often, it's annoying.
Numerous updates have never resolved the problem.

I've only had mine connected for 6 days now, but so far it's worked. Wish I could say the same for the Homelink.

That's great 24 or 25? My home link has been reliable.

It's a 25. Terrible range compared to my 2012 F150. My new Ranger won't even activate my GDO from the street, I have to be a few feet from the door for it to work. Sucks because I park on the street.

Guessing the newer hardware in 25 might have fixed the connection issues. I might press them to warranty it. My home link range is great tho lol. I can turn into the block and activate my door.

Honestly both wireless and wired AA are both stable for me, using a pixel 7 xl. i don't see many random disconnects.

I have more issues in my sync 3 car with wired connection (no wireless offered) than I do with the truck's sync 4 wireless.

I run wireless all the time, and yeah, rock solid with my Pixel 7 Pro as well.
When I first got the truck, later 2024 I had to hold the wheel buttons a few times to reset, but that hasn't happened in 2025 I'd say, so software update fixed it for me.

I had an aftermarket wireless Android Auto head unit in my 4Runner. Then I had the factory unit in my Bronco. Now I'm in my 2025 RR.

They all have the same issue when going wireless. I've narrowed it down to any time I'm crossing under low-hanging power lines, or driving near them. It's frustrating to say the least.

EDIT: Pixel 9 Pro XL or whatever

Pixel 7 Pro here as well. No issues other than the very rare brief disconnect, but it reconnects itself after a few seconds.

It may be worth clearing your Android Auto memory cache. I drive rentals quite a bit and clearing the cache sometimes helps.

Spoke with my service representative and he updated a module. Will report if it's any better.

No, fix. Mine disconnects everytime now. I think it's the wireless card in the unit.
