Im getting older with a bad kndd and cant wash truck. as much as I want. Cold weather makes it even harder
The top would be difficult to reach also. I think I read
About someone on the forum that had a issue with damage to their truck from car wash
. I believe it was around the antennae.

I have taken mine through a touchless with no problems. Do note that the mirrors (at least with the tow package; maybe they’re all the same?) are surprisingly wide and got closer to the equipment than I would have guessed. I will fold them in from here on out.

I can see the antenna being a problem for a touch carwash, though. Hopefully others can chime in. I still hand wash my cars when the weather permits.

I have a membership to one of those auto car wash.
I go thru at least twice a month.
People will warn you about scratches and swirls, yada yada yada, and the satisfaction of hand washing.

Do you do anything with the antenna before entering the wash?

Taken mine through them no issues. I usually don’t like too but haven’t found a good touchless. Also I’m not in a place I can hand wash at the moment.

I can tell you I read somewhere in this 6G forum some months ago, that at least one person going through an auto car wash, said they had the antennae completely ripped right out of the roof. Could be an isolated incident with a sketchy auto wash where they live as well.

i think there are actually two people that happened to. not one.

one was very recent though.

my son's truck was missing the actual antenna when he got his truck. the base was there but the screw on antenna part was missing so since i got a stubby for my truck, i gave him my factory antenna
