Some how I did not see this until now. I'll bet that's been the "QA hold up Ive been reading about, and why my "Built 3/25/2024" truck is still not available to me.

How about a 2/01/2024 MAP.
125 days today. Can you say lots of rust and acid rain stains.

I think the hood issue was for early batch 1 builds. I heard that the hood was lightweight and the way they initially were moving it to the vehicle could result in deformation which may have looked like a dent on some vehicles after installation. I believe they built something so there was better support while moving it to installation.
I've also heard other non-confirmed suggestions of the reason for the hood issue.

This is correct. Only was an issue with the first few build weeks in January and they quickly identified & installed a fix for it.

Does anyone know of an example of what type of deformity they were seeing on the hoods?

The only thing I have a gripe with on my RR is there appears to be two indentations next to the driver's side heat extractor on the hood. I didn't notice in when picking the truck up as it didn't really become visible until night driving. It is next to impossible to capture in pictures but now that I see it in front of me every day it kind of bugs me.

My build date appears to have been 3/1/24.

Nope, and we may never know. I'm thinking it might have been the flat area between the scoops. That seems lightweight and you can see it move a bit when driving sometimes at interstate speeds. If it were deformed just a little bit it would look like a dent or "not right" from certain angles.
Not sure about cause of your issue might be.

In person, mine look like dents. And of course now that I see it, it seems like it is getting worse. Wouldn't care too much about the 'dents', but dents on creases seem like a good place for paint to eventually deteriorate.

I have the truck going in to my local dealership for J Braces later this month. I guess I'll bring it up then but not being the dealer I bought the truck from, I don't expect them to do much unless it could be tied to manufacturing defect.

It is hard to tell. It is almost like there is something like 3M tape or some other residue along one edge.
There is a video on how to remove the scoops (for installing PPF and/or ceramic). Seems really easy. You could pull one and look to see if it is actually an issue as to how it was installed (the hood vent) or the hood itself.

If it is the black one from Vaughn, it was shipped 5/15 (last updated 5/28). And their website says it is on the lot (in stOck), while their other ranger is in transit. Kinda weird that delivery is estimated mid-June to July, though., on the tracker. I would expect it could be there by next week. Keep watching for "Final Prep". Did you try using the order number and VIN with Ford Chat to see if they have better info.
I do understand you are not exactly happy with the dealer customer service so far

I have the exact same dimples on mine. I only see it when the light is at the right angle. On a sunny day it is most noticeable. And like you said, once you see it you can't stop noticing it.

Thanks, saw that a bit ago when doing some research on removing them. I was planning on removing the scoops to paint some accents on them this weekend and was going to see what I could. Mostly needed to document the imperfection before I remove them to avoid a blame game.

Thanks for commenting. Wish I was the only one but I guess not. When I pull the scoops this weekend I'll see if it is something that can be felt from the underside and maybe lightly massaged out.

Only hood issue I've seen on my Raptor is when passing oncoming, old-style semis at highway speeds on 2 lane highways. If you're both doing about 70, the wind resistance will cause the hood to appear to jump, as if it's unlatched. It's secure, but it'll scare you every time it happens.
