Or you can tint all of your windows with ceramic tint. Everglades NP in July was no big deal, and you really aren't going to get much worse than the Everglades in July. I hated leather, but I'm cool with it now - pun intended.

I just use the Covercraft Polycotton SeatSaver Custom seat covers, cool in the summer and warm in the winter and the seat warmer works through them as well. With ceramic tint I don't mind the leather as it keeps the sun's UV off it, but I really dislike the new ActiveX "vegan leather", its just as bad in the heat as vinyl. Another surprisingly affordable and good option is the sheepskin seat covers from Costco, they are extremely cozy all year round no matter if its 100+ or -50. Only downside is that they don't make them for the rear, and they aren't machine washable.

I miss sheepskins. They fell out of favor 20-30 years ago, but the good ones sure were comfortable.

Live in Oklahoma in the heat and ive only had blk leather seats forever. Never an issue for me.

For a truck 'purpose' designed for desert rips, the leather option isn't great / and worse not even ventilated. I keep a pair of the Get Sprints seat-towels on the front seat almost year around. TBH - they're not super fitted so running around town you're always having to reposition them. But they really help... and if you routinely do trail runs or long hikes, coming home it's nice to have a layer between you and your seats, and should you find a lake, hot spring, river etc on your route - they dry fairly quickly hanging from the back of the headrest with windows open.

Well, you can still get the sheepskin seat covers at Costco, and they are not atrociously expensive either. Wife still runs them on her KR F150 in the front and Covercraft polys in the back for the pups.

Sorry, you got it confused, easy to do these days. Naugahide seats were made from the now extinct nauga. Vegan leather is made from vegans; unfortunately there is growing concerns about the environmental impact of current vegan leather and its inability to biodegrade at the end of its life cycle. I guess vegan leather must be related to styrofoam. But now we have pineapple, apple, mushroom and cork based leathers on the horizon! (I know, sounds funny, but tis true) Mushroom leather Just wonder how it will taste on pizza???

Oh yeah. My parents used to put those on the front seats of every vehicle they owned as far as I remember.

Ranger comes with an option for tan seats. You could have also selected an XL or XLT that has cloth? Or get some nice aftermarket seat covers?

I had the stone interior in my 2019 ranger lariat. Never wished I had ventilated seats. High UV blocking ceramic tint, windshield shade when blazing and remote start cooling and I am good here in Virginia.

Too bad they don't seem to have Grey for the front now. Beige is available front and back.

I learned my lesson back in 2006 to avoid black interiors all together, and i learned again in 2011 that vented seats are king if you live in a hot climate. Its a shame Ford didnt offer either different interior colors or vented seat options in the Ranger. Then again what would you expect since they deleted the rear HVAC vents in the US models to reduce costs increase profits

Makes me miss my 2002 Subaru Outback. Leather yes, but the entire interior was khaki. Always stayed cool and didn't look dirty like the black interiors do... I know you can get khaki seats in the Ranger but I hate how it looks with the rest of the interior still being black. Not sure why car companies do that.

In case you didn't know, you can also roll all the windows down with the remote to allow some of heat out to help ventilate it before you get in.
