Good morning, first time poster so mods please direct my post if not in the right place. I purchased a new 2025 ranger lariat 2.7 from a local ford dealer in april 2025. I noticed when I was cleaning the car that they unfortunately put one of the lojack devices hardwired into the wiring under my drivers side obd port area with a splice connector. I was specific when purchasing I did not want it on there and why I bought it is was still on the pdi lot with no dealer adds at the time, or so I thought. So I called the dealer and they agreed to remove the tracker when I came in for my 5k service, which they removed it and repaired the wires with a ford kit, they did the brake boost update, and changed oil/rotated tires.
I didn't notice driving initially but after not having music in the car, noticed almost a cricket sound chirp. It gradually dissipates the longer I drive. Again I originally thought this was only when the car was on, but I was in the garage and heard it with the car off. Not sure what it can be if anyone has an ideas. In the video there is an initial click then toward the end a louder two click. Thank you all for the consideration.
