Well, install was worse than I had hoped, tapping into side marker not so bad but drilling through the grille was not cool. They are some big a$$ holes because of the connector part only, which seems silly… but they do look goooood (if I do say so myself)
I looked on youtube first and saw that it only took 5-10 minutes to remove the grill. So I removed the grill and drilled the large holes from the back side of the grill.

Are the connectors not un pinnable? I just ordered a set and if i can just unpin the connecters and drill smaller holes for just the wire to pass through thats the route i will go.

Yea they aren’t and it’s a huge miss on F150LEDs part. Holes could be tiny were it not for the connectors. As is, the drill bit you’ll need to use is basically the size of the entire space (if doing 3 lights) so it’s unnervingly tight. I did start with pilot holes and size up

I got the 4 light kit from them but there was no way I was drilling 4 half inch holes in my virgin grill. I dropped them down a row and put them on with 3m tape. Been a year now with average 2 car washes per week. No issues.

Hmm, second guessing getting grill lights from them. No better sources?
Not that I can find. The other options all have an individual LED look, giving them a similar appearance to Ebay/Alibaba lights. The best fitment I’ve found is the moustas4d top grill replacement, but it too suffers from the individual LED look.

I believe supply and demand drives the F150LEDs price. When you’re the only company offering “raptor lights” that have a near OEM look/fit, you can set whatever price you want.

I plan on making my own side vent lighting for my RR since F150LEDs sells that kit for $139. If you watch the install video, you will see the kit is nothing more than a water-resistant LED strip with a positive and negative wire. I’ve ordered everything I need to make 10+ set for less than $20 using name brand LEDs.

I see lots of praise for the customer service at F150LEDs. They may be overpriced, but they stand behind their products. Their side marker light adaptor is neat, but I’d like to see it priced closer to $25.

My 2026 RR will hopefully be ready in February or March. I’m going to wait on the grill lights and hope a more affordable option with an OEM look/fit becomes available.

If just a two wire harness I cut off all connectors, drill a hole just big enough to pass the wire through (without any connectors) and then use waterproof butt connectors to splice the wires back together. All you need is a heatgun or a lighter for the shrink/solder connectors.
