Ford Performance Tune issues

I didn’t and now I’m kicking myself.

I was afraid that might have been the case. Fingers crossed that Ford performance can get you back up and running. I doubt that your ECU is fried. Worse case scenario is you'll have to get Ford to reload the as built data.

A few years ago, the Kawasaki dealer needed to reflash the ECU on my H2 for some quick shifter software update. They fragged the ECU because they didn't know what they were doing, or there was something wrong with it. Not sure. They had to replace it.

It's rare, but it can happen. Hope it works out!

I did pay the dealership originally just to have the warranty. I had to literally show them how to do it

I reread your post - Sorry dude, didn’t realize it was an update that you were flashing, not the tune.

Don't you have to download the tune from Ford Performance and load it in the device Then load it to the truck
It comes with no tune in it.

The dealer loaded it back in June with my assistance. I attempted to load the stock tune back on it yesterday and everything went to crap. A Ford Performance Calibration Engineer was supposed to call me this evening to fix everything but I guess he was busy

I think the dealer did something wrong . The guy at the dealer has your stock tune in his computer and did not put it in your device . Now you have nothing but a blank file in your ECU

My device never touched his computer, we used my laptop. The device went blank when I updated it. The tunes were on it yesterday

FYI - According to FP Tech Service
There are NO TUNE updates nor any expected.
The only updates are firmware to the tablet, not the ECU.

Reason? Too costly for recertifications, testing and CARB approval

Essentially, after successful initial tune load....leave it alone! [unless a compelling cause or other issue]

I believe most people’s compelling reason is to revert to factory tune to remove premium fuel requirement.

I’ve taken multiple long road trips and left mine alone but probably could have saved close to $350 on one of them if I had reverted and was running regular.
