In three months they’re going to be on strike & none of this is going to even matter!!Wait until you get a notice three months from now that running boards are in short supply, so your truck build has been delayed…
Thank you Nate for your first post confirming this as well!I'm offended!![]()
Except for several people I've seen say the running boards were added to theirs for free.I would guess that making people add a $700 running board package is more about increasing profit profit margin on each vehicle sold more so than any other reason. This especially makes sense if orders are slow on this truck. They have to make more on each unit sold if sales projections are weak.
Wish mine were...nope $750 plus tax. Could have got aftermarket for half that price.Except for several people I've seen say the running boards were added to theirs for free.

I agree with DakotaGuy. I think it's the most logical explanation. Other's have had to pay for them, and others have not. If that is the case...why? I have not seen anything official from Ford that they were to be added "for free" if ordered before this or that certain date. Anybody have something official from Ford? My weakest guess is the dealer was being very nice, or more likely the charge will be there somewhere.Except for several people I've seen say the running boards were added to theirs for free.
