Gas filler door opens at 90+ mph

Easy fix don't drive above 90 . Sound like the indent/clip isn't catching maybe lube it a bit.

considering how easy the gas door is to open.

I could see some wind buffeting opening it up

I am not sure what you would do to keep it from opening so easily.

I've had mine up around 105 and the cap didn't come open. Doesn't the cap lock when the truck is locked? Truck should "lock" when vehicle is in motion. Maybe its not locking?

no it does not lock

Maybe you should think about that question for a moment.

Also let us know what the shop says when you take it in for warranty repair and you describe the fault condition. I'm guessing the truck will be handed back to you in a few hours along with "cannot replicate condition".

mine doesn't open at 106. 107 is the speed limiter so i don't go to it.

i would like to get some kind of door replacement that gives you the ability to lock it closed. we have them on all the other vehicles that don't have factory locking doors for when we travel and i have a trip to the east coast coming up in may. the major cities to hit are houston, new orleans, atlanta, and charleston but we will stay overnight in other places too and i would rather be able to lock the gas cap

Is it happening consistently? Or just one time?

If it’s sticking out that isn’t normal either and should be fixed under warranty. Take it in.

Why in the world are you going that fast?!?!? Highest speed limit in the US is 70
