I've mentioned in other posts that I prefer steel wheels, especially for off road use. I finally got them put on today.

The wheels are off a Bronco Big Bend Black Diamond edition. Tires are Falken Rubitrek 265/70R17. TPMS sensors are Ford Performance kit M-1180-E. The little learning tool that comes with the kit was useless. Thankfully the TPMS synced up on it's own after about 20 or so miles of driving.

All very timely as on Saturday I killed one of the original Goodyears off road with a slice on the sidewall.

I like it!

Black lug nuts next?
Not sure. I'm actually okay with the chrome lug nuts. One of those things I didn't think about until you mentioned it.

I never understood the hate for steelies. I always thought they were an "all business, no frills" kinda look. 9C1 Police Interceptors always looked menacing with black steelies where some small towns would put hub caps on them (old school sheriffs) and I thought that make them look too fancy for the purpose of a cruiser as a kid.

I agree with others, the desert sand looks good with the blackout steelies! My only recommendation is to get some sort of ceramic wax on them to help keep the powder coat in good condition for longer or I guess it wouldn't be hard to get them re-powder coated as they do have a tendency to rust after a period of time if you live in a 4-season state with road salt (or by ocean).

I noticed that some poor raptor was robbed of his side steps too

If you have the original two piece lug nuts, you will have to replace them at some point. So go ahead and get some nice black ones.

Those look great. What load range are the Falkens? Everyone seems to go with the AT4Ws but I love the look and price of the Rubitreks.

These are SL, 115T rated, max load 2679 lbs. They are a deep lug tire, pretty heavy so I figure they should hold up. Mileage warranty is same as the Wildpeaks at 55,000 miles.

I also have a set on my TJ Wrangler and like them a lot.
