I'm not familiar with that system. Mine is so dirt simple, from UPR. Now I'm curious to see the FP setup.

Mines attached to my battery post. Very easy to reach and empty. I’m not sure about the ford performance one.

the j&l kit is hte way to go if you are going to get a catch can. their stuff is so well made and priced way below the other manufacturers

J&L wasn't available yet when I went with UPR. Had J&L on several previous vehicles.

I have the the ford oil separator on the 2.3 just take off all the Allen head bolts out and separate the two half move the top half out of the way and pull the lower half off the mount and empty it. If you want you can disconnect hose but it is not nessassary

That sounds like work. The j+l just requires you to unscrew the bottom. No tools required

Thanks! That may work for one of the cans, but the other is near the firewall closer to the centerline. If I were an NBA center, I might be able to reach it…

I'd probably remove whichever hose is easiest and use a big syringe with a flexible hose to suck the oil out.

I think the OP has the Ford OEM Air/Oil separator shown here in this link.

I have the J&L Oil separator and mine connects to my battery mounting post.
Wow $700 for just a bunch of injection molded plastic and hoses?!

It was way before my time but I remember when engines had a crank case vent to the atmosphere. Now its required to circulate back into the engine and we have to do all kinds of funky crap to mitigate it.

Agreed, the Ford setup is pricey, but also looks to be a PIA to empty...The J&L that I have is aluminum construction and just unscrews. Not saying its better, but it is simple to empty the can when needed. I haven't even put 1000 miles on my truck yet so once I hit that I'll check the can to see if there is any accumulation.

thats why i like the j&l also. so easy to empty.

on the titan forum, we had a thread to show how much junk came out each time you emptied it. some people would measure each time and some added it to an empty soda bottle and showed the total. on the nissan v8, that soda bottle filled up rather fast. i bet it takes a lot longer on the ranger engines
