I will be going to her bank and doing the notary with Bank Teller for bill of sale and she will work with the teller for Cashier check in my name. She is an older lady. She is also paying the mechanic shop in town for an inspection before purchase. Does that seem to be red flag still to you?
Just get cash and let the bank make sure it’s real!

My blend date is 2/01
I looked at surrounding dealer inventory.
Every vehicle that is close to my order is waiting to ship just like mine is.
Current and early builds.
You were very fortunate to fall into that vehicle.

Enjoy

If the bank teller is giving a check from that bank, you should be fine. Be warned, if you ever do cash for anything and get $10k or more in cash, you will have to do a CTR report both with the bank when you get the funds and also with your bank when you deposit the funds. A CTR is a "cash transaction report" and is a measure to help stop / trance illegal / high cash activity. It won't stop anything with your sale, but does slow things down, takes your SSN to do the report, and puts you on the radar under certain rules / regulations.

I donot mind the report at all, I have nothing illegal to hide. Mine was for $50,000. Cash. This was done at the bank they witnessed the transaction and filled out the necessary forms for the government. I would rather have cash than a cashier’s check. I know the cash is good!

Looks like we’re both having a better day, my friend… My dealer called an hour ago to tell me I can pick up my Plan B truck later today. 🎉

Looking forward to seeing pics of yours and comparing notes on whether all this B.S. was worth it. I’m guessing it will be!

And I think that's the bottom line. The dealer 5 minutes from my front door is small. They've only had one single 2024 Ranger delivered, and two in the pipeline (including my original) are stuck in Ramp 59 purgatory.

The dealer I actually will be getting it from is Phil Long Ford in Denver, ~40 minutes from home. They have inventory stuffed into every corner of multiple storage lots, including multiple Rangers (although most right now are blah white and fleet-targeted). It's abundantly clear that volume = leverage = inventory.

Wanted to support the local guys down the street... So much for that idea.
Did Phil Long have the Rangers on the lot or offsite? Which Phil Long location? Thanks.

Denver location.

Originally I went there to just look at any Ranger they had, just wanting to see one. The guy brought over a white fleet example from a storage lot. The one I bought was also in one of their nearby storage lots.

When I was there last Friday, there was at least one on the main lot, but could well have been spoken for.

FWIW, Tristan, the guy I worked with, was probably the best car salesman I’ve ever dealt with. The entire experience there was great.
