Gotcha and thanks. I was going to use those same holes and just extend using a mending plate with a hole drilled where the mount is centered. Any reason you went with the L bracket instead?

Looks sick. Our cactus trucks are nearly twins. I’ve gotten a lot of inspiration from yours. I’ll post pics once everything is dialed.
I appreciate that man, the truck is sick!

I did the L cause I wanted it to be centered up down left right. Also the bolt that mounts the light to the brackets is like 1.5 inches long so it has to get up a bit. I couldn’t find any A piller style brackets that weren’t like 4-5 inches tall so I tried these guys. Bit of “fabrication” but pretty simple to get it to all fit, would be ideal if I could weld and make a little bracket but this was closest I could find off Amazon. 16$ experiment as oppose to trying anything more expensive

Update on this. Cut the bracket some more so the connection could fit.
This pic is before the Final Cut.
I took about 3/4 inch off the top.

I got the lights in and I’ve been having issues with one of the pods main beam and a backlight flicker. Luckily the company I ordered from has great customer service and a replacement pod is in the mail. I’m the mean time I was able to shove a zip tie inside the side of the connector to make the backlight work at least but still no main beam.
Turned out exactly as I planned. Can’t wait to get the replacement! I’ve attached a few pics to show mounting locations and such for others.

Are those new boards keeping chips off the hips of the bed? Just curious. Thanks!

Yes much better. Also paired with some musology mudflaps, hoping rokblokz comes out with some real ones soon!
Thanks! I was looking at I think Ironbuson but if the ones youve got work, then I imagine the IB would too (since profile wise they seem pretty close) Im running Huskys flap wise, still didnt keep chips off haha but Im sure it cut it down

Installed the buckle up bed cap spacers today as I have a bedrack coming next week. Solid product to fix the hollow bed cap spots. They sit pretty flush except for the middle one.. cause apparently my bedcap is already slightly bent. Good peace of mind for the bedrack mounting though.

Also exciting news, I’ve teamed up with diode dynamics as an ambassador for the next bit. You can use code BCCACTUSRANGER for FREE SHIPPING on all orders!

I’m super happy with their lights and can’t wait to add some more!

Pic from a recent camp! Happy with the build so far and can’t wait to add a bedrack, then maybe a rooftop tent!

I think this may be my favorite thread on the forum. What a bad ass build. I love it.
