Mystery White Coating

Does anyone know what this white coating is? It runs along both sides of the vehicle.

PVC based
Cold applied then cooked when curing paint.
Used to eliminate issues between panel joints with rust and paint loss .
Also acts as sound deadening.

Works great on new cars as seam protector but a nightmare if you want your underbody to show standard however chips off fairly easily in blocks

Does anyone know what this white coating is? It runs along both sides of the vehicle.

It is liquid applied sound deadener. It is cheap PVC based and should not plastisize if you undercoat your vehicle with the thick greasy substance I'm to have it done with.

It’s a product called seam sealer.
It has a tertiary benefit as a sound deadener but its main purpose is to prevent rust at body panel seams and joints.
