My '24 Lariat has Park Assist with the mechanical shifter, so I have to do the shifting. I'm 2 months in the Baltimore area (Mother recovering from MAJOR surgery) and parallel parking endemic here while pull in parking feels significantly narrower than it does in my native environment, Florida. I am using Park Assist on a daily basis for parallel parking into space just larger than the truck and am finding it works superbly, it places the truck about 4-6" from the curb and centers between the front and rear vehicle. I have also used for pull in parking, due to very small clearance parking lots, and "unparking" - again the system works superbly.
Ford pulled the Park Assist from the '25s, they say due to limited use by customers and cost savings. While I think this was a poor decision, considering the software for Park Assist is still on board as are the sensors and electric power steering so have to wonder how this is a cost savings, I am curious to see if others take advantage of this feature.
What does Ford Ranger Best and Brightest think?
