You can have any ASE certified machinic do the installation. Doesn't have to be one at a dealership.
If you have multiple Ford dealerships near you, I'd call the service departments and find one that has installed several and is familiar with them. I bought my Ranger Raptor from a volume dealer. I went to the service department and discussed the tune. They had done a bunch and knew it inside and out. I opened the account on my computer, entered the code, and brought my computer to the appointment. They did the rest including downloading the tune on my computer, moving it to the Procal tool, installing it and knocked out the latest recall in an hour and a half.
The ProCal changes your 5 year/60,000 warranty to 3 year/36,000 miles. I added the Ford Premiumcare warranty right away (before the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty expires) so there were no issues trying to add it later with questions about performance mods.
Good to know, I understood that differently. I wanted to be sure there were no questions on my extended warranty as I plan to keep this one. Of course that was what I said about my 392 Wrangler a couple years ago, as well as its predecessors. It seems my stint on vehicles is about 18-24 months, but with retirement close it may be extended.
