Ranger 2.7L V6? What is your build date?

Starting to see some 2.7L Rangers showing up on dealer websites this week... I’m not sure if any have actually been delivered to dealers, but they’re on the way.

I think they list them as soon as they get a build date and window sticker.
I ordered mine 4/29, the first day it was available. My build date is in August.

Just checked the Schedule and its still holding.

I ordered an XLT 4x4 with the 2.7L V-6 on June 15th and I have a build start date of August 12th (if they don't slip it for some reason).

Today an hour after emailing a dealer about a raptor (I guess I got one of the last 2.7 engines?), I got the scheduling email.

Ordered on 5/7
Scheduled for 9/2

According to Long MacArthur Ford, it looks like the 2.7 in the Ford Ranger might be a constrained item. Take a look at their video, right around 14:48.


Maybe I’m hearing him wrong, but it sounds like he says the 2.7 has been exhausted for the Ford Ranger?

Yes he does. For orders building 9/2 and beyond. Ford must not have anticipated the 2.7 demand. It sounds like they had enough built for August.

Somehow got my build date today despite the exhausted availability. Ordered 7/9 (2.7L FX4 Lariat w/ Tow & Chrome App Pkgs) and got scheduled for 9/2. I guess we’ll see if that date holds

Ordered 6/4 original build date was 7/22 then moved (7/8) to 8/5. 2.7 Lariat.

Any word on when they will replenish the 2.7 stock? Seems like they can borrow from the F150s or Broncos if demand is there?

2.7 XLT was confirmed 6/26 and haven’t heard jack, hoping I can slip in to the schedule with you boys before it becomes a real issue. Priority 03 for what that’s worth.

I hope yours gets scheduled soon. As I understand, priority is only within your dealerships orders. Not in comparison with other dealerships.

yeah I realized that after I posted, made me feel warm and fuzzy for a while at least I talked to the dealer yesterday and they think I’m next up for the 2.7 orders, as the last order before mine was scheduled, but I’m sure that all depends on options and trim.

I received a confirmation on the order(7/10) but have yet to see a build date. I hope it doesn't go to the wayside.
