My 2.7L order is still holding at the build week of 8/5. They typically run a few weeks of normal production before they run the special order vehicles. As of this afternoon there are still no 2.7L engines listed on AutoTrader, so that tells us none are built and in-transit to dealers.
I received the email yesterday with a build start date of August 5th.
What's even more insane is that a fully loaded Lariat FX4, 2.7 is $14,000 cheaper than the Raptor in Canada. $64,120 vs $80,240. I paid $61,600 ($44,985 US) for my my2.7, FX4 Lariat. Every option applied except for mud flaps.
I would agree about the price. Cant deny that the Raptor is beautiful and best in class - off road. With a reinforced frame and impressive suspension goodies it's off road performance is fantastic. Rode it it. However, it's a bit stiff on asphalt & concrete - - where I drive. About the only time I go off road is to pull into my garage or in the near to future to park my RV. Different types of trucks for different purposes.
Yeah, that why if i could have waited longer for my truck it would have been a XLT with the 2.7. It was 49k with the option's I wanted.

That's 10k less than they price out in the US. See my summary screen shots that i posted.
