In reference to the rays, one assembly is the center caps are installed fully seated with silicone/dielectric grease around wheel bore, then aluminum 106 to 93.1 shim rings are installed inside caps with same grease. Locks/aligns the wheel/center cap/hub/rotor together very snug when lugs are torqued down. The face of rotor hat is greased lightly along with the hub lip flanges prior

I don't buy tires based on how they look. I buy what's tried and true. You usually get what you pay for with cheap tires.

You can tell alot of a tire by its looks. Small void ratio means it can not be a good mud tire, load range and weight give very good information of how the tire rides on road and so on.

If you have good ideas for lightweight 35x12.5-17 mud terrain tire that has been tried, please share your knowledge.

Price does not matter to me, tires are so small expense anyway. Just selection seems to be very limited when you want a MUD tire that works when diving in swamp, deep mud etc. but at the same does not break my teeth while driving 200 miles to that swamp.
I am not interested in rock crawling abilities or puncture resistance, because there is no place to do rock crawling. I have not got a single puncture during my 32 years driving off roading over here, so puncture resistance is not interesting either.
I lived some time in Colorado and understand that ideal tire is a very different thing when crawling at Rockies, or diving deep in northern Europe swamps.

Ouch. Weight and sidewall stiffness being a factor, I’ll still be waiting for confirmation on specs but that makes it a little tougher to decide between these 35 KO3’s or the 255/85 Baja Boss’

Also, I'm pretty sure the 6g XLT 17x7.5 wheels are closer in weight to the Bronco Big Bends - 23-25 lbs, but I can't find any direct confirmation.
These are what I want to "downgrade" my Lariat to, but I'll probably grab Big Bends for dirt cheap when I need tires. I prefer the XLT look, but I'm also pretty cheap, er frugal...

I weighed the big bends from 2023 with the 32" stock tires and it was within a few pounds of the wheels/tires you show in photo which I also owned

With TyreReviews website and youtube channel naming the aforementioned Pirelli and the Nokian Outpost nAT as among the better AT tires for 2026, it would be nice to see them represented on the sheet.

I don't remember this thread, but I'm digging the work put into it. Has anyone added 18s yet (I'm on my phone)? I'm looking into these for larger diameter rotors up front.

Wheel and tire weight takes away from your "effective HP", diameter reduces your final drive ratio. So larger tires are a double whammy typically. Even lighter tires, the weight is still slightly further out, which acts like a lever arm off of your axle centerline.

Image a weight on a pole, as you move the same weight further out, it has more leverage against YOU! So lightweight wells can help offset SOME of the effects of heavier larger diameter tires, but even if you manage the same total weight, your still reducing the final drive ratio AND the weight is still distributed in a less idea location (larger radius), can't get around that penalty.

BUT, when you need bigger tires, you need bigger tires. Just be smart about it, do you actually NEED bigger tires? Do you have handling, braking and acceleration more than going over large obstacles at slow speeds? Do you tow with your raptor and use it for utility purposes? Is it a family vehicle that hauls kids / the wife / step kids twice removed around?

There's no wrong way...to tire a Raptor! I do a LOT of variety of things with my RR, so right NOW, I'm staying with stock size and prefer the performance driving bias, hence why my KO3's are going to be replaced by the XMT AT's in stock size, so I can maintain the stock off-road capabilities while enhancing on-road handling.
