Good Evening,

Just wanted to throw something out there for some input/feedback on. Obviously, as the title states, I stumbled upon something tonight that was a bit interesting. You can't get much more different that the two, but with all the buzz of Employee Pricing, Incentives, the 1000.00 now being offered for veterans, or first responders, plus a cash offer I have from Ford, a loaded Lariat that has an MSRP of close to 80k, but can now be purchased in the neighborhood of about 63k. Obviously, two different trucks, but looking at overall bang for the buck and down the road resale, the numbers have me a bit intrigued.

Anyone have any input? The difference between both vehicles is worthy of head scratching or anything else for that matter.

But i would imagine, resale wise, the ranger raptor will have a better resale. Just like the f150 raptors hold their value very well

As an owner of a 2013 GT 500 as well, I can tell you the RR is a fun truck to drive! If you don't need a lot of towing power and your not a 6'5" guy it is a no brainer. I traded a 2017 F-150 Limited, which I struggled to part with, and after two days I don't even remember what color it was! The RR part sports car, part off roader and part everyday driver!

I traded my F150 Lariat for the RR. I like it but sure miss my F150. Probably trade after a little play time.

All depends on how you plan to use the truck? eg: Fast off-roading, or hauling/towing?
Agree. I traded in my 2013 F-150 Lariat for a 2024 RR. Biggest downside to RR is the significantly reduced rear seat storage, including lack of split seat and floor space for my dog. Rear bed is slightly smaller too, but not a big deal for me. However, the improved maneuverability in the city and pure fun of the RR made the transition worth while!

You know, it doesn't get any better than this!

Recently sold my 2018 F150 and ultimately wound up with RR. The F150 is hands down the more practical vehicle which is in a round about way made it too impractical in my case. Biggest issue has been the size which meant my wife refused to every drive if she had anywhere to go that involved parking. That coupled with the notion that I wanted something that could haul a decent amount of stuff and still be fun at the same time made the RR the better choice over the F150 (and the Mav Lobo).

Completely different trucks for completely different uses to me. Do you want to have fun in your truck on and off road while maintaining pretty good utility or do you want to be able to pull really heavy shit?

I have a full size Silverado that I use for towing equipment and cattle trailers. It almost never moves unless it’s connected to a trailer or hauling something large and heavy in the bed. I still have no idea why anyone would even want a full size truck if they aren’t using it for work. They aren’t fun to drive, they are a pain in the ass around town, and they are cumbersome off-road and just don’t fit a lot of places.

I can think of a plethora of reasons, but most would likely get me a ban. Lol

I just went from a loaded 2015 F-150 Lariat that I loved, but I wanted an easier parkable truck and the new technology to a 2025 Ranger 2.7 Lariat. I was really really worried the size and quality of the Ranger would not match my F-150.

Put simply, I LOVE MY NEW RANGER LARIAT! So far the Ranger has FAR exceeded my expectations, I don’t miss my 150 one bit, and it was up until my Ranger arrived the 150 was my favorite vehicle so far (I’m 65).

Ranger is now hands down my favorite vehicle ever. You will not be disappointed with the Ranger, but get all the features you want based on you projected usage.
