I have one sitting in the box ready to go as soon as I get an hour to install it. they are very well reviewed and I've had one on a previous vehicle and it was a trouble free 12-15 bhp gain
Is it supposed to not throw any codes?

With a MAF and the cat O2 sensor adjusting the fuel/air to the fuel injection with positive PSI turbo boost all controlled by ECU, seems S&C is reinventing itself with a 10-15 HP claim. Love to see it on a dyno for a test.

Lol I am no mechanic and I will be shocked if I even need the instructions.

Its a safe easy mod. I have at least a week of chaos before I get to this as I am retiring in a month and have a bunch of loose ends that come first (hard deadline). The real question you should be asking is which tune do you pair with it. That's next for my new 26.
Have a GREAT retirement my friend and stay busy TRIST ME

Yes! Very exciting!
Like a 10 yr old waiting for Christmas morning & his "Red Ryder" BB gun! (please don't remind me that was nearly 60 years ago!)

The S&B site does not show Ranger as a model option if year 2026 is selected. Are the filters for a 2025 Ranger 2.7L the same for a 2026?

I've got the same white, dry filter. Looks nice and looks of good quality. It's been on for about 1k miles now. *may* have picked up .5 mpg with it. Not much. Haven't really noticed any other benefits to be honest. Was it worth $80? Don't think so.

Is the S&B supposed to be cleanable?
They have 2 different kinds one is cleanable, the other not. This one shown(white one) is not.

I'm right there with you brother when it comes to vintage. I will never relinquish my childhood and will act accordingly until the fat lady sings!

i hate how kids have to grow up now days.

we are about to be off topic.

remember when we were little, in the 80s and 90s, you went out and came home when the street lights came on. no one knew where you were or what you were doing. if you got in trouble, you knew you were getting the belt or the paddle when you got home so you acted right.

Is the S&B supposed to be cleanable?
I had the non cleanable one in my bronco. I sprayed it from the inside out with my compressor and got a little more life out of it. It wasn't much more than the stock filter from the dealer.

Sorry to go off topic. My response was to TXArch. Back on topic: I spoke with S&B at length yesterday about adding their cold air intake with a Borla dual exhaust....and especially in combination with a Ford Performance tune (if it ever gets released.) The answer I got was as expected.....your mileage (code throwing) may vary. Realizing that S&B cannot test all combinations, I respectfully volunteered to be the lab rat. However, the key component is the unreleased tune matching up with S&B's 30 day return policy. So hear I go again.....waiting for Ford.

They call the white one extendable. Clean out dust with compressed air.

so for me, this might work

I agree with the white cotton extendable.....and blow out to refresh. The more I learn about Mass Airflow Sensors, the more inclined I am to move away from oil-sprayed air filters. All my old school vehicles have those filters, but these new dual-turbo, highly engineered vehicles.....I'm still deciding. So until I hear from the masses, I'm going cotton blow-out baby!
