Mine went into production 2 days before that one did and ....

At least it shows that if they want to move a truck that was built over a month ago, they can.

So how come many of us who's trucks were built in January still say In Production. I was assuming that once the OKTB was issued that all trucks that were actually built would show as Built. I get that it may take some time for them to be shipped so I'm not questioning the transition from Built to Shipped. I'm only questioning the transition from In Production to Built. What is going on here?

AllTerrainNation and FordVideoGuy talk about this in the video I posted above. "Built" status only gets marked when your truck is entering shipping.

I agree. My truck was built 4 days before that one and this morning my FordPass was denied by someone with access to my truck, so the trucks clearly aren't packed in like sardines like we were scared of.

Now it's probably a matter of your truck waits until they can fill a convoy with vehicles (rangers/broncos) that have the same general destination.

And fill Rail cars going in the same direction. If shipping is rail.

No idea if this is accurate (the numbers). Dated March 5.

"In January, a grand total of 2,644 2024 Ford Ranger pickups were built at MAP, which represented an increase of 2,242 units, or 558 percent, compared to December 2023. That number grew to 2,871 units in February – an increase of 227 units, or around 8.6 percent. More surprising, Ford sold precisely zero Rangers last month, meaning that the supply of 2023 models seems to be depleted, and there simply aren’t any new 2024 models on lots as of yet.

While it’s unclear why this is the case, it stands to reason that Ford could be conducting quality checks on 2024 Ranger pickups before shipping them to dealers and customers, as it has done with several recently refreshed or redesigned models. In fact, the automaker stored hundreds or perhaps even thousands of 2024 Ford F-150 pickups for this same reason recently, and issued a stop-ship for 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning models after it discovered an problem with the headlights."

Hi all,
First time posting here, but been following a lot of the threads. I found an unclaimed RR over the holidays just after Christmas, a dealership had an order, that no one had claimed, so I put money down on it and given what they indicated about the order. They indicated it was scheduled for build 2/6, and the dealer indicated probably 3 week of March/April delivery (this was all communicated in December 2023). All of what they've said and been saying has been pretty on par. I asked this past week, what the status was (as I've checked the VIN and the Tear Tag), the dealer indicate it's built, the issue is there's a shortage of rail car transports. So I guess be patient...

My RR had a delivery estimate of yesterday and is also minutes away from MAP. I received an email from Ford yesterday confirming built status but delivery is delayed. No reason given.

Also wish there was a pickup option. I not only get charged $1600 for a delivery that is minutes away, also have to pay for the one way flight.

You can't pick it up for the same reason there is a huge backlog of trucks sitting in lots: unions.

There are contracts to produce a certain number of vehicles regardless of OKTB status or pretty much any other constraint. There are other contracts with shipping unions that guarantee a number of vehicles to be shipped and for whatever price was negotiated.

I'm not saying unions are good or bad...I'm just saying that's why you can't go pick up your truck.
