Hello yellow 86 ranger. I have a ranger just like yours. Its an 86 too. With a 4.0 swap manual 4x4. I got lots of trails time with it and my Bronco.
I got a Ranger Raptor now. Better believe it's getting the same treatment as the pictures below my friend.

You can share your offroad picture if you want, but not needed of course.

Don't forget to drink some coke šŸ˜‹ while you're out wheeling.

Bet your Ranger never had a live full grown cow in the back…. Did you miss the part where I said ā€œpeople on this forum are by far the exception to normal customers?ā€ Youā€˜re literally proving my point.

I thought mine was just distorted on the passenger side but after a weekend vacation I noticed it on the whole thing. If you stand outside your Ranger Raptor on the passenger side, take a few steps away to the right, then backwards a step, look through the passenger window and through your windshield. I'll bet there's a lot of them out there that have this Distortion that people haven't noticed yet. I'm not happy having to replace a windshield on a brand new truck that I had to pay over the msrp to own. There is nothing like the factory seal. I know eventually all windshields crack and you'll need to remove the factory one, but we're talking replacing a windshield on a brand new premium truck. I just ordered another ranger raptor for me, the one currently in question is my wife's. After I take my wife's back to the dealer to get this, and a couple other assembly mistakes, fixed, I'll be curious to see if my dealer gives me a better deal on my new one. I'll re-post what happens after I get my new one. Still love the truck though.

I noticed my windshield distortion a few weeks after getting my truck around a year and 10k miles ago. At first, thought I was crazy, but then it really started to bug me every time I looked at the right side of my windshield. It got to a point where I noticed it every single time I drove the truck.
I finally asked service about it during my inspection, and at first they thought I was crazy. But then, I was able show them exactly where the distortion was by using the lines in the parking lot. The warranty manager got a great photo of a school bus driving by showing the massive distortion. Ford ended up approving the warranty work and a new windshield was ordered.
Well, today I picked up my truck from getting the windshield replaced. 5 minutes in, I realized the new windshield might be even worse. Check out these videos (F-150 is before) (white car is after).
What do I do?? Accept that this is a normal thing?? Request ANOTHER new windshield? I’ve never seen this in a vehicle before…. how does this happen twice? Let me know your thoughts TY

Idk what’s up with windshields lately. I had my Tacoma windshield glass replaced using OEM glass shortly before getting a RR and it took 3 windshields before I got one that had an acceptable level of distortion.

As far as the test drive this truck is really hard to judge off of it. When I got mine I felt like it seemed really tame on the test drive. I thought the steering wheel buttons were changing the drive modes, which they don’t. Then I figured out how the drive modes worked and it’s like a completely different vehicle. Then the performance tune and whatnot makes it feel new all over again.

I know I drove mine home thinking it was super quiet and comfortable but wondering if I made a mistake. Then I got it in sport mode on some back roads and powering through turns and playing with the shifters and my attitude pretty much turned to oh shit and laughing while the back end pulled around, it really does feel like a rally car when you drive it that way.

My next confirmation was when taking it off road the first time the thing feeling like a Cadillac compared to the TRD Pro I traded in while also being way more capable in the slow stuff and when you’re flooring it in Baja mode and goofing around it feels like it’s worth more than it costs.

Mine has the distortion on the passenger side for sure. I thought I was just too OCD, but interesting to see it's not uncommon. I'm not bothering with a replacement given it seems to be just as prevalent in the replacements too.
