The LEDs, blocks the ground when there's no voltage on the line. So make the input to the TBC floating when there was no brake signal. I suspect most of them can handle that they probably having internal ground lines to account for that. Regardless, the little circuit I designed will give the TBC a brake ground signal when it's not high. Also, I suspect the best place to tap. The stoplight signal is on its way along the side of the truck up to the HMSL. The wire Loom will be thinner and have less wires in it.

Found to be incorrect- there is voltage to the TBC blue wire.

What I posted about the TBC applies to the 5G model. The Ford approved TBC is a RedArc controller. The TBC still takes a signal from the brake pedal switch. What makes it different is that the additional Lumen module that goes between the TBC and CHMSL. I believe that the Lumen module acts as a buffer between the CHMSL and TBC, kind of like Stranger showed with the diode schematic.
Some people on 5G decided to forgo the Lumen module, and just use a RedArc or Tekonsha TBC.
The only problem with that, is in case of a Pre-collision event. In this case the truck brakes will be applied by AEB, but not the trailer brakes. Trailer brakes will only activate when you push the pedal.

To be sure, 5G and 6G are different, as I believe the 6G has all LED head and taillights. I'm believe that Ford engineering will come up with a solution for after sales TBC.

How confident are you of a plug & play TBC? How soon? Because I complained strongly about kick of disclosures of bed rail failures & lack of available TBC, my dealer offered to buy back my truck! If I thought i could get a plug 'n play TBC, I might keep it.

Do not take this as trying to be argumentative, but where does the "fraud" come into play here?

Was there documented promises that certain things would be made available to you in the purchase of your XL?

I went through some similar back in 2019 when I bought the first year 2020 Jeep Gladiator. They teased a IBC at the launch press events but at time of manufacture, it was not there and when it eventually came out many months later, was a mixed bag and they quietly took it out of being a officially offered MOPAR accessory. Basically I was told I bought the vehicle as it was built and nothing else was implied and they reserved the right to change or discontinue options and accessories as they see fit.

Ford advertises all non-Raptor Rangers as capable of towing 7500 lbs if properly equipped. A TBC is legally required in Montana to tow more than ~ 1600 lbs. , & other states have similar limits. Ford doesn't make or sell a TBC that fits a 2024 Ranger XL, & didn't make the XL capable of receiving any existing TBC unless modified by a person with electrical expertise. It may be that other 2024 Rangers without advanced tow packages (& the TBCs that come with them) are in the same situation as XLs.

I'd imagine they might want ot listen to you. They did the same thing with the 5G, i had a 2020 FX2, with " tow package " but there was no TBCs at that time. I installed a Redarc, just turned off the AEB. I don't have any inside info from Ford, Standard Ford studipity.
