I ordered my ‘24 Lariat mainly for the leather seat options. I have dogs and leather holds up better. I chose the 2.3 because, at the time the 2.7 wasn’t available for at least another 7 months and because the 2.3, the only option in the earlier 5G Ranger. That made it tried and true. I also chose the FX4 and advanced towing package.

From what I understand the 2.7 is being dropped from the engine options.
As for the commentator of the video, we have not had any issues towing out 4500 lbs travel trailer up and over the Appalachian mountains here and around NC.

Bottom line, I’m very happy with my decisions.

For me it was the best choice on my 25 xlt 2.7.
For what I paid it filled most of what I wanted minus heated seats
You didn't get heated seats or you didn't need heated seats?

The XLT definitely hits a lot of the high points for what a truck should have.

I have always owned XLT. I do not like leather seats, or simulated leather seats. Give me cloth and I'll put nice covers on them. Take care of them and they'll last a decade or longer. I got everything I wanted in XLT. If I recall Lariat was going to be like $6K more?

I've read that the 2.7L is being replaced in the F-150 with the 3.0L. I don't think Ford has publicly stated what is going to happen with the 2.7L in the Ranger, yet.

I'm generally satisfied with my XLT.

I wanted heated seats but opted for a leftover 2025 and saved a lot of money. No heated seats though sadly but I guess I can add them

A Lariat at XLT price is the answer. [leftover 2025 purchaser here]
