What are others opinion of the XLT headlights.
I am coming from a 21 XLT with original halogen bulbs, and had no complaints with the visibility that they provided.
My 24 XLT lights are terrible (low beams especially).
I drive 22 miles in the dark through deer filled countryside, and the low beams cast absolutely no light to the right shoulder and little into the roadway.
I was excited about the prospect of the LEDs, having seen plenty of trucks with great LED lights.
I am hoping it's an alignment issue, and will call to see about getting an appointment to get them checked at the dealer.
I was hoping to hear others experiences.

I have had good luck in the past with after market lighting from Headlight Revoution. You might check with them and see if they have anything for the Ranger now.

After 3 weeks of driving this truck at night, these have got to be the worst headlights ever put on a vehicle.
Between the green tint and the lack of projection, these are an accident waiting to happen.

My left beam is a bit low but I’m very happy with them otherwise. I live out in the country and drive where there are no lights for miles and think they are much better than the halogens that I’ve been used to.

Does your left light shine across the road onto the right shoulder?
Mine is a hot spot with the right side on the right side of the lane.

I have an XLT and the LED reflector headlights are good for being reflectors. They are not as good as LED projectors but are better than halogen reflectors. There are hot spots in the middle of the road throw light far infront of the car, but they do a decent good job illuminating the sides and ditches.

I would suggest having the dealer align your headlights as that can help significantly.

Yeah I called the dealership and they said that they would check them, but it would be 2-3 weeks to get an appointment.

noticed similar with mine and went down a rabbit hole to see if i could adjust them myself (i can, all it takes is a phillips head screwdriver).

They can only be adjusted vertically. There is NO HOROZONTAL ADJUSTMENT. (this is straight from the digital owners manual) Kinda disappointing.

Mine work well to me (XLT model) at least, no real issue. Lariat's look nicer but haven't driven one in the dark.

perhaps i'm just use to crappy headlights :D

They aren't horrible but there's definitely a difference between the left and right headlights which is bothersome. Probably seeing what you are referring to as a hot spot. Had them aligned and made no difference.

When you pull up to a wall, the left hand light pattern is much wider, the right is closer to a spot.
My halogens in the 21 XLT projected much further down the road.
It's only a matter of time to hit a deer, due to lack of reaction time in the dark.

FWIW, my other car has steering responsive headlights (LED Projectors). The inside projector will turn with the steering wheel. So, you are turning right, the right headlight will swivel right lighing up the road, and then return to neutral/forward when you straighten out. THEY ARE AMAZING for night drives and mad at every manufacturer for cheaping out on that safety feature.
