That’s the weird thing.. I was set on velocity blue. Loved the look of it on the bronco, f-150, and others but for some weird reason I’m getting a bad vibe of it on the new ranger and having doubts.
I am kind of the same way. Had it narrowed down to Velocity Blue or Cactus Grey on an F150 Raptor but then started to see so many on the road that I lost interest. Then the Ranger Raptor was announced and couldn't wait. Looked at the color choices and the Velocity Blue on the Ranger just somehow doesn't look as good to me as it's bigger brother. Can't figure out what it is and blue is my favorite color. Same for the Cactus Grey.

Yeah, there's just something that doesn't click with Ranger Raptor's body and Velocity Blue, but I went and changed my order to Velocity Blue anyway. ?

I've looked at my Bronco quite a bit and it's the same color and has the same color trim (flares, bumpers, ect) with exception to the top which is considered, per Ford, carbonized grey. The only real difference color, trim and wheels wise between the 2 is that the Bronco's wheels are gloss black with warm silver beauty rings (standard Sasquatch wheel color).
I've seen pictures of Bronco's in Velocity blue that have wheels that are silver/titanium or machined (not powder-coated) with black beauty rings and they look really good, so I went to the B&P and put the beadlock capable wheels on it.

I think doing that helped me out a bit because it breaks things up and adds a little contrast, but I think making the wheel the warm silver color and it's beauty ring black would look much better.

I'm not paying $1500 for those optional wheels and will more than likely be powder-coating or Cerakote some lighter Aftermarket wheels.

Yea It is hard to pick a color when none of the choices are very exciting for the non Raptor trims

As much as I want the bronco green, i'll probably just pick white at this point. I plan on taking it on forest roads and white will hide any scratches the best.

If green was available that would've been a done deal for me no question about it.

There are a couple more things to consider about which to choose and it comes down to how the truck will be used and if you are really touchy about things like dents, scratches or rock-chips.

Tri-coat colors like Azure gray can be visually appealing but are a pain (and expensive) to color match/blend if having any body damage repaired.

The local Dealer here had a full size F-series in Azure gray it looked baby bluish more often than gray in most lighting conditions (looked more gray on an overcast day) and that's because of the pearl metallic sprayed over the base-coat color. It reminds me of a metallic Area 51.

I chose Hot Pepper Red as my color, but have been considering a different color the last few weeks and Velocity Blue has been one of the considerations, since that's what my Base Sasquatch-ed Bronco color is. It looks really good in sunlight and gets a lot of compliments but is fairly underwhelming in the shade or out of the sunlight (my personal opinion). It's also easier to color match/blend if repairing damage.

I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason Velocity Blue doesn't seem to click with me on the G6 Ranger. There are way too many Silver, White and Grey/Gray vehicles out here and I really don't want to go that route either. I like Black, but owning another vehicle that color and it's up-keep isn't something I want to do. I don't like the exclusive Root-beer Green color, so the color choices are mighty slim.
Not being able to get the shelter green :root beer green" on a lariat is the only thing that stopped me from ordering. I really wanted that color and not to excited about the others offered.

I really like that color! I admit to being a fan of azure gray as well. But that shelter green really is awesome & should be available across the line. Maybe for 25 after it doesn’t need to be the exclusive color any longer.

Yeah I really don't understand Ford's reasoning for making that an exclusive color for the Raptor that is very limited. If they added that color to the other Rangers I would be putting my order in. Just can't do the other common colors.

They have to do something exclusive for the Raptors. It used to be Code Orange. But now it’s Shelter Green, even for the 24 BRaptor and FRaptor. I’ll make a deal with you though. If you can convince them to offer Code Orange, then we’ll give you Shelter Green!

Azure all the way. There are too many Velocity blue like colors out there on other vehicles. I’m coming out of a similar blue on my old 2013 Raptor. Really like the look of the Azure in different light conditions. Just my two cents.

Ordered Carbonized Gray but end up with Azure Gray. (Plan B)
After having dark colors since 1977
This lite color does not show dust and I like how the color is different in sun and shade.
I have a stone chip on the mirror cover and it is a PITA to color match with the touchup.

I have seen a 2024 Ranger in Velocity Blue at the dealership and it looked amazing. Quite the head turner if that's what you like. Lot of people like the Azure gray but it always just looks like baby blue to me. It messes with my Rods and Cones.

I just spent two days at the Raptor assault course and was able to see every color clean and dirty…

I have carbonized gray (because I do grey only), but I have to say the best Ranger Raptor color was Azure gray 1st and Oxford White 2nd. I don’t have any context besides just sitting there and looking/watching them drive around. I personally would not buy Azure, but it looked coolest and subtle.
