hitting dealer lots next month? That's pretty optimistic since they aren't even building any yet, are they? Job 1 keeps getting pushed back, haven't heard if they have OKTB yet, the MPGs as you mentioned and possibly a strike delay. Even if they start rolling down the line Sept 11, the transportation to final destinations can take 2-6 weeks in good times. I'm not liking the chances right now.Looks like it's going to be hitting dealer lots in the next month or so. Have any MPG numbers come out yet?
The gearing in the F-150 is different than the Ranger. If I remember right it's a 3.50 ratio2.7 engine on a 4x4 F-150 get 18 city / 24 highway. I’m guessing 19 /25 on the new Ranger with the 2.7. The F-150 comes in at 4,838 lbs while the ranger comes in at 4,415 lbs. It will be both lighter and carry less wind resistance.
There are videos of some at dealers and if you look at cars.com they are already starting to show up..... not that they have them yet but with production starting this week/next (I think that is correct) I figure about a month is about right.hitting dealer lots next month? those are pre-production Training vehicles Ford uses to conduct on-site training at Ford dealers to prep them for selling the truck when it starts arriving. You're kidding yourself thinking there are no hurdles after they finally start production to getting them to the end dealers. They can easily sit for 1 month after being built either at the factory, a storage yard, transportation hub or other places. There is still a huge shortage of CDL transport truck drivers and the specialty car carrier train cars they use. Don't bet your life savings on seeing buyers reporting receiving their trucks this year. That's if there is no UAW strike...There are videos of some at dealers and if you look at cars.com they are already starting to show up..... not that they have them yet but with production starting this week/next (I think that is correct) I figure about a month is about right.
Wow bud.... I'm sorry this rubbed you so wrong..... it was a simple question not some kind of attack or factual statment. It was just an assumption..... it's ok to dial it down a bit now.those are pre-production Training vehicles Ford uses to conduct on-site training at Ford dealers to prep them for selling the truck when it starts arriving. I never took it personally, all good there. I was just sharing my personal experience from going through this ordering and buying my Maverick. There's a thread on here titled something like Ranger walk around detailing the training sessions making their way around the country and they get the pre-production units. I attended 1 of these in my Maverick odyssey and yesterday asked my friendly dealer to include me again when Ranger comes our way. YMMVWow bud....
