Auto start/stop -- disable / delete?

Has anyone found a way to eliminate this on the 6 gen ranger? I sure don't like it on the 2.3l

It's weird. In my ranger raptor it didn't activate for the first few hundred miles and just did today? Oh maybe that because I typically keep it in sport mode. Haha

I got a tune from 5-Star Tuning for my 2021 Tremor. When you are ordering it one of the questions is would you like auto start stop disabled. So the tune permanently disabled it. Now every time I start the truck the off light is automatically on the auto start stop button. Or you could put in a light up hitch cover that plugs into the 4 pin. Or Forscan. Or a dedicated obd11 port auto start stop eliminator. Lots of options to kill it. I didn't eliminate it in my Bronco and hated hitting the button every time I started it so I get it.

I ordered an XLT last month and the order update from Ford shows Auto Start/Stop delete as an added accessory. Not something I specified, but hope it makes it on the build.

I use to work for Oreilly Auto Parts and their trucks have Auto Start/Stop delete as an option on the window sticker.

on both my 22 and 23 Lariats I simply unplugged the little jack plug on the negative battery terminal, that disables the start stop, I do know that some have said that unplugging that jack can cause a problem with the trucks, I did it on both of my prior rangers without any ill effects that I could see.

It is an installed option. Available on fleet trucks. Oreilly’s Rangers and Mavericks do not have auto start stop. Nor the button to do so.

I am looking now...thanks...but they all have some wierd fuses and an extra plug in that i see

It is a wire you run to the fuse box. I bought that one for my truck and my son's truck and you just plug in the main part under the switch in the center console and run the red wire under the cobsole edge and under the steering wheel to plug in the fuse box. It takes 20 minutes or so, and that gives you time to drink water and make sure everything is ran smoothly and properly
