High Mileage at Delivery

My Ranger has finally arrived at the local train depot with 131km on the odometer. Did anyone else have their truck arrive with this kind of milage? Does anyone know why they would need to put this kind of milage on a new vehicle before it left the factory?

They take them for Joy Rides at lunchtime. Probably find McDonald’s wrappers under the seat.

Mine had 50 miles on the odometer when I took delivery.

Mine was still in transport mode with 6 miles I don’t think the dealer drove it

Mine had 77km. On my contract it says on delivery it will have less than 100km. Look and see what yours says. Maybe ask for a few oil changes for compensation.

Good point. I'll have to look mine over to see what it actually says regarding milage.

Mine had 50 miles on the odometer when I took delivery.

Same...mine had 44 even though I went and looked at it when it was still filthy and wrapped in plastic right after it had been delivered...3 days later when I picked it up it had 44

That means it was selected as a quality control vehicle. Mine showed up with 55 miles.

Mine had the exact same mileage. Dealer contacted Ford. It was due to quality control. I know they weren’t out mudding because the undercarriage was pristine. Who knows what they were doing. But so much for quality control. The driver’s door had to be adjusted as it was hard to close and now my sensors on the right side are acting up. That being said I love love love my new ride!

Well I'm glad to hear yours is mostly pristine. I've used the QC threads to compile my own checks to perform when I finally lay eyes on this truck ( Which should be this week). Thanks for sharing your experience.

One thing I forgot that you can add to you check list is Car Play failing to wirelessly connect. Intermittent problem but annoying. My truck is going to dealer on Friday to get the sensors etc looked at.

Mine had 57 miles on the clock, it was built March 24 and was not delivered till May 4
dealer had no explanation at all.

Interesting. I ordered August 2023. Mine went into production Jan 24 and wasn't "built: until mid March. It still isn't delivered. I'm curious to hear if they know why.

Wait, I may have an explanation for the miles, I was told that the truck was sent to the "Body Work" shop to have the spray in bed liner done, and then in a few days I was told it was back from the body works. I wonder what the distance from the assembly plant to the body work shop and do they truck or drive the vehicle back and forth

Mine was sent out to have the spray in liner done. I picked mine up at the dealership with 27 miles
