1/4" gap around the whole tailgate of Ranger Raptor

I was power washing my wife's ranger raptor the other day and noticed how the water and soap just went right out the back of the inside of the bed and I looked and there's a quarter inch gap around the whole tailgate. If you open the tailgate, you can see a bunch of holes along the bottom of the bed, where it looks like a seal should have been placed. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm sure the dealers don't even have an answer for this yet. I don't like this.......

When I run the truck through the car wash all four doors seem to have water in the door jams and sills. It doesn’t leak into the truck.

There are also holes towards the cab at the bulkhead. The bed, even with a tonneau cover, is not impervious to water intrusion at all.

It's not just the Raptor my Lariat is the same way.

I don't think any pickup truck bed comes sealed from the factory. If you want it to be water resistant you'll have to pick up a seal kit.

Isn't that so water can escape out of the bed? I wouldn't want my bed to turn into a pool until it's redneck hottub time.

My dealer told me this was an issue with F150's and Ford came out with a seal for the area. They haven't heard but are expecting the same for the Ranger at some point.

Yeah, that type works on the F150, the Ranger has a big gap there to fill.

I like the looks of this one, but appears to be an Australian product, and the one they list for Ranger says fits "2011-present". Not sure how the one product can fit the different generations of Ranger. Anyone have any actual experience with this product or ordered it for their 2024 MY?

I was looking at this and was trying the seal kit that comes with RokBlok. There is such a large gap bedside that that kind of foam seal will not help you. It will seal the top 6” but the rest cannot sealed without something like the Ford kit. The problem with the ford kit is that it makes the bed opening narrower.

Thinking about other solutions, nothing comes to mind yet.
