We have all been told that by he who will be un-named
And for anyone believing that I can sell you a bridge to Canada at before tariff prices
To be on topic, would love to see a Tremor come out. Love seeing Rangers on the road. They look so great. But I like how every 1/4 ton truck looks and find merit in all 4 manufacturers trucks.

I like that coil spring rear suspension on the tacomas though my ranger rides like a cadillac

So is SYNC 5 hardware and software changes? I wonder if some of that update will be available on SYNC 4? And the soft touch on XT/XLT does that mean a soft touch steering wheel? If not then that would be odd to add more soft touch and neglect the wheel? And updated grille could be a change to the cosmetics or to integrate the autonomous related sensors?

The xt steering wheel is just plastic and needs a leather sew in kit. That is one thing i wish came as leather or something else.

Sync 5 specifically is software. However, sometimes new software requires a bump in hardware specs for it to run effectively.

It would be nice if some online reviewer would do some kind of comparison. My Ranger's suspension is more improved than other trucks I have owned. It would be interesting if there is a good discernible difference.

There were several comparison tests between the Ranger, Tacoma and Colorado back in '24. The general consensus was that the coil sprung Tacoma rode like crap.

Oh it does. When I was shopping I cross shopped Ranger, Tacoma, Canyon, Gladiator...never looked at Ridgeline. Surprisingly, I though the Tacoma ride was worse than Gladiator. Ranger, with a simpler rear suspension, has the best ride of the group.

Funny! I was just doing a thorough internet search for ‘26 Ranger info this morning as well. I’m ready to pull the trigger and hoping for a Tremor option for ‘26.

Even better if a SuperCrew Longbed were also an option although highly unlikely. There was such a creature spotted in the US & Australia in 2022, so Ford has at least considered it. Nissan brought a longbed version back last year and the Tacoma has 3 choices of cab/bed configurations.

The GM twins have already released new pricing for their ‘26 midsize models with little changes in their line up. Only a crew cab with short bed available.
Oh man, do I want a Ranger Super Duty! That's it. That's the truck. End of story.

North American market deserves it.

Yeah, I get we are a full-size country. But imagine a big need in dense cities like NYC, etc where contractors could benefit from a mid-size super duty truck.

And I also want one.

We deserve it. :D

I was wondering if anyone had any information on the 26 Rangers?
Any rumors on changes or upgrades?
Ford has not disclosed any information and probably won't until the 26 order bank opens. October is the timeline for Bronco and Ranger order banks.

This Ford dealer in Aumsville, OR, seems to have the most detailed info I've seen. Updates include:
  • Sync 5
  • More soft touch interior on XL, XLT
  • Co-Pilot360 2.5 ("updates in detection range and lane-keeping assistance")
  • Potential hybrid at some later date in 2026 (I'm assuming may be the Euro PHEV
  • Recalibrated suspension
  • Updated grille on higher trims
Hybrid really intrigues me, particularly with the tiny fuel tank, but sounds far from certain on if/when would come to US.
I'm not sure where they received this information. It's all speculation and I don't see any of happening. I don't know anything but I've learned alot covering Ford News in the last 20 years to at least get an idea.

Sync 5
-Ford is moving all their vehicles to the Ford Digital Experience not SYNC upgrades
More soft touch interior on XL, XLT
-Maybe but unlikely
Co-Pilot360 2.5 ("updates in detection range and lane-keeping assistance")
-Again probably not
Potential hybrid at some later date in 2026 (I'm assuming may be the Euro PHEV
-I don't think the current PHEV in Europe is coming to the US. We have Maverick
Recalibrated suspension
-Not likely
Updated grille on higher trims
-That would come in a refresh year and 2026 is not a refresh year

It's very likely that Ford HAS disclosed information, but perhaps not publicly. And the reason being is that they do manipulate public information to their advantage as it suits them, including on their own website. On the subject of Sync5/Ford digital experience, possibly leaving behind so many recent vehicles in regards to updated software experiences would be a disappointment to be sure. Fords digital ecosystem is well developed but by 2027 comes their next "revolution" of modular EV's. Fragmenting their technology has downsides obviously

Here is a concrete example of misinformation presented on Ford's website. I think Ford would do well to make many small changes and refinements to the 2026 Ranger lineup rather than just pop out more trims like Tremor/Superduty/Hybrid

That is the current tech for wifi connectivity. They will be rolling the Ford Connectivity Package to the 2026 Ranger. Just like they are for the 2026 Mustang, Escape, and Explorer. Where you get unlimited wifi, audio streaming, voice commands, and in some trims navigation. First year is free, pay after that. Usually $150/year.

And more on-board apps for multitasking! I just think there are many small changes they could make that would add up. Ok for example how about rear bench back pull release.. ON BOTH SIDES? Small refinements bumper to bumper could really stack up.. oh and how about soft touch for every cab storage area?
