25 here. I got the tune with 1k on the clock. 9k total now. Avg 18.7 since tune. Roadtrip is right at 20ish. I live in Pa with elevation changes. So considering EPA says what 16 to 17. I'm happy.

Gas milage is not as high as I expected. I am averaging 14.3 with my Ranger Raptor. With 1300 miles on it with almost miles being city driving I guess that's not to bad. Gas prices here are around $2.89 so the mileage isn't really that costly. My hope is that I get around 17 mpg after I get more mileage on it.

I have the tune, and I just drove from middle Tennessee to Los Angeles CA, My overall mpg was about 18, during the trip I experienced anything form 16-20 mpg.
If you travel country or local roads at 55-60mph 20 is easily attainable. Once you are over 70-75 or Hwy speeds of 78, I cannot get much better than 18.

I have approx. 4600 miles and my tune was done at 950. I did not but this for MPG.

Thought I would share

I have an overall average over 5000+ miles of 14.1 MPG. That's with 92 octane, FP tune, 35"X12.5" tires at about 25 PSI.

Stay out of boost for regular highway driving and results can be surprising. Just completed 6000 mile road trip out west. RR with FP tune.

everyone who is not on fuelly.com should create an account so we can track this stuff easier. i have used fuelly almost since it came out, on many many vehicles. since you put in your odometer reading at each fill up, its as accurate as you are going to get.

then you can put the link in your signature, like i have, and one or two other guys have.

the link shows my combined gas mileage with my 2.3 here in south texas where 20-35mph winds are daily and highway speeds range from 75-85mph.

People who are saying "it's a raptor, mpg doesn't matter" are missing the plot and can't read lol.

The fact is that the ranger raptor is significantly smaller than the f-150 raptor and has basically the same mpg which is kinda silly.

Also hearing alot of people saying they they run 87... Is there performance loss from running lower octane gas on the 3.0 like there is in the 3.5? If not Have I just been pissing money away for no reason? Lol

Lifetime, ~2800 miles is sitting at 20.2 at the moment. Individual tanks have been between 18.5 to 21.5. As I've mentioned previously, most of my driving is suburban with some semi-city driving, very little highway. What highway miles I've done seems to be closer to 18 than the 20 some folks are seeing at least at 75mph. At 65, I can see 20 or so.

That said, it would be child's play to drop those figures into the mid teens, if I was dipping deeper into the throttle more often. Much depends on how and where you drive. I consider my numbers pretty much best case for summer here in the Northeast US. I'll be surprised if I can do much over 18 once the cold weather and winter fuel show up.

The K3s are doing us no favors in terms of MPG. Given I don't do much beyond rutted dirt roads every now and again, I'm guessing that going to a set of Michy LTXs is worth at least 1 MPG along with better on road handling and braking. Waiting to around the 10k mile mark or so before I give them a try.

I have a Ranger XLT...I know, different engine. But I started out getting HORRIBLE mpgs...15-17 combined. After about 2500 miles...including one long drive of about 600 miles, the mpgs are better. Everything else is the same, I think...tires, driving style, weather, etc...and now I'm getting about 21 on the highway, 18 city. Does the computer "learn" through break in? Does that make sense?

Its pretty typical for the MPGs to improve as the engine breaks in. Generally its takes 2-4K miles to get there, but some vehicles I've owned have kept creeping up through 10K.

Used to get low sub 16 mostly low 15 for a few thousand miles. Now above 16mpg with 18k miles and Ford tune a year ago. Both spirited driving. Also, added weight and accessories since my break in period also.

Hey guys
So before we get excited. Lol
The raptor MPG feels insanely low. Full size V8 trucks can get to mid/upper 20s on the highway but ranger raptor gets 18?

I looked into this a bit. It seems the beed lock wheels lower mpg slightly?

Look i get it. Smiles per mile. I have a zl1 camaro and it gets 24mpg hwy and thats 650hp s/c v8. I never really care much about mpg. I drove a whole 4k miles in 9 months. I get the "just dont get a raptor if you care about mpg". But a lot of vehicles that can off road just dont offer the same thrill.

I think a lot has to do with the fact its a twin turbo v6, final gear ratio is 4.12ish and the tires are huge. As much as i want this truck. And i can afford it. This feels insane with gas at 5.50/gal. Ill also road trip this truck to mountains and such for camping.

So hows your mpg on this truck? Is it really this bad? Anything that easily improves it a bit so i can average around lower 20s hwy?

Thank you. And not being a wuss just trying to make educated decisions.
The beadlock wheels are around 38lbs.
Non beadlock OEM wheels around 27.5lbs.
A decent aftermarket wheel should be between 22lbs to 25lbs.
A super expensive Volk racing wheel are like 18lbs or something.

Every 1lb at the wheel translates to 10lbs in the truck.

RTR Evo 6 is a great option
