Went from a 2009 F150 long bed standard cab with roll down windows to a 2025 XLT. Love the truck. 38K was what I paid, and plan to retire in 5 years with some $$$ in my pocket. 60 to 70k for a truck was not in the cards, and not what I wanted.

Asked the guy at the TruckWorks shop: it’s a Phoenix material they use now. Didn’t seem too pleased with Linex but didn’t elaborate
All I got out of them when I asked the same question was that LineX had simply gotten too greedy.
I took that to mean whenever they needed to renew their dealer agreement they simply passed and changed suppliers and changed the name on the building too.

I bought my topper from them and had them undercoat both my RRs.

So far, I have stuck with Rhino or OEM on the bedliners.

I think the raptor people keep the ranger forums everywhere more active. No disrespect, but they are definitely an outspoken minority, I'm certain the sales by trim didn't break down the way poll does. 75% xl and xlts on the road if I had to put a number on it. Thanks raptor dudes and dudettes.
Exactly. It was just for Paul that said they should have their own section. I have an xlt, and always commenting on raptor stuff, as the stuff zi learned for my xlt from the dealer access stuff I purchased, and looking at upfitter guides also applies to the RR.

Went with the Azure Grey with the Sandstone leather, light colored interiors are hard to find. Jumped on this plus sticker was $53k got it for $46k.
Same color, same interior. Looked all over the midwest and couldn't find anything equiped even close to what I wanted. Anything close was black with black interior - too hot in Kansas summers for that. Ordered exactly what I wanted and waited 3 months for it to deliver. Well worth the wait - love the truck so far (3 weeks)

Only issue has been getting use to the smaller truck, been in F150’s for 20 years. New truck handles great, love getting in and out of parking spots and will fit in garages in Arizona, which we are moving to.
Prior to the RR, over about the same amount of time as you, I had a 2003 F250 SC, a 2011 F150 Lariat CC and a 2019 XLT SC. Interestingly, all three of those spec'd out at ~5500 lbs, around 80" wide, about 76" tall and 230" or so long. Somewhat surprisingly, the RR is just as wide and tall and only weighs with a couple of hundred pounds less. The only real difference dimensionally is the length at 211" which translates into a wheel base that's also around 20" shorter. Certainly helps the handling and parking.

While I do occasionally miss the cabin/bed size of a larger truck, in the end the overall size of the RR makes it a far more pleasant companion on a day to day basis. Doubtful I'll ever return to a full size.

TruckWorks. Appears there are several around the state. Lifetime warranty. Looks like the product may be from Linex since when I google map Linex I get all the Truck Works around the area. Didn’t plan for the undercoat or rust proofing, not sure how effective/beneficial it would be. Have heard mixed opinions over the years. Thoughts?
Not sure where you are in Kansas, I had my Line-X done in Leavenworth. Completely happy with the job that was done. They removed and replaced all the tiedowns unlike a lot of jobs I’ve seen done on here.

I take trucks for the dealership to Olathe, Ks to Truck Works and they too install Phoenix bedliners. All I ever got told about Phoenix, verus Line-X was they switched. NO other explanation.

Hope they hold up.

Topeka. They said that Ford puts threadlock on the tie down bolts so they don’t remove them (not that they couldn’t reapply) but I suspect they don’t want to round off bolt heads or break one. Looks like a nice job. Don’t mind the tie downs being sprayed. Time will tell

Time will tell! Job looks good and product seems pretty nice. Lifetime warranty so I guess I’ll wait and see

Leavenworth has a Line-X??? Next you'll be telling me there is a Harbor Freight in Lansing. Wait...there is! I retired from the Army at Fort Leavenworth in 1999. Area has grown.

Luxury & Imports just up the hill from HF. I walked down to HF while they were doing my bedliner.

Yes it has grown, I grew up just south of Lansing.

I'm actually surprised that the Raptor is the most popular truck on the poll at 38%, but then again, maybe the more car enthusiast lot of us is on the forums where the average buy of an XL, XLT or Lariat isn't on the forums and just bought it because they liked it for their needs.

But still, I would have thought the Raptors would be in the smaller percentage category even on the forums....I stand corrected.

There are over 13,000 members and as of this post, only 336 ppl have voted, so you can’t really say that this is a representative polling. It’s like calling a political election with only 2.5% pf the vote in. But the raptor crowd definitely has a strong showing, both in this poll and in post/thread count.
