I was wondering if anyone had any information on the 26 Rangers?
Any rumors on changes or upgrades?

Funny! I was just doing a thorough internet search for ā€˜26 Ranger info this morning as well. I’m ready to pull the trigger and hoping for a Tremor option for ā€˜26.

Even better if a SuperCrew Longbed were also an option although highly unlikely. There was such a creature spotted in the US & Australia in 2022, so Ford has at least considered it. Nissan brought a longbed version back last year and the Tacoma has 3 choices of cab/bed configurations.

The GM twins have already released new pricing for their ā€˜26 midsize models with little changes in their line up. Only a crew cab with short bed available.

I think you meant SuperDuty Ranger, not SuperCrew?

This Ford dealer in Aumsville, OR, seems to have the most detailed info I've seen. Updates include:
  • Sync 5
  • More soft touch interior on XL, XLT
  • Co-Pilot360 2.5 ("updates in detection range and lane-keeping assistance")
  • Potential hybrid at some later date in 2026 (I'm assuming may be the Euro PHEV
  • Recalibrated suspension
  • Updated grille on higher trims
Hybrid really intrigues me, particularly with the tiny fuel tank, but sounds far from certain on if/when would come to US.

The 2025 has the 2.3L MPC motor. I ordered one.
I waited for a Super Cab, ain't going to happen like the long bed.
These trucks are expensive, cannot afford a Tremor or Hybrid.
I do not think there is a long wait to have a 2025 built.
Mid cycle revamp possibly 2027
North American Ford Ranger On Track For Refresh In 2027
Ford has a tendency to remove equipment as the generation progresses.
You pay more for add on's that were on it before. An example is the Conveniency Package. I did not see that before. They removed the 12V bed plug. Now you pay for 110V plug, bed lights and phone charger.

  • Sync 5 - Probably a good idea, technology marches on.
  • More soft touch interior on XL, XLT - My '25 XLT trim doesn't bother me in this regard, but alright.
  • Co-Pilot360 2.5 ("updates in detection range and lane-keeping assistance") - Ok I guess.
  • Potential hybrid at some later date in 2026 (I'm assuming may be the Euro PHEV - A hybrid for fuel economy might be big for some (see Maverick)
  • Recalibrated suspension - Interesting, though my suspension seems fine, no complaints there. Perhaps for a Tremor.
  • Updated grille on higher trims - wouldn't surprise me that the Ranger would start to look like the Maverick in this regard.
After having my '25 XLT for a few months I would -
  • Improve the braking power.
  • Push Button Start on XLT
  • Offer better OEM Tires

Smart move I read that Ford will be raising prices across all lines 1% to 1.5% for 2026 due to tariffs.

I have been told i will not have to pay tariffs on a 2025 Ranger exported to Canada.
If there are tariffs I will bail on it and eat my $500. The vehicles go up regardless of tariffs. Inflation

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is hardly the only one sounding the warning of the potentially damaging consequences, including factory job losses, lower profits and coming price increases, of the import taxes that Trump has said will be the economic salvation for American manufacturing.

Under Trump's series of executive orders and trade frameworks, U.S. automakers face import taxes of 50% on steel and aluminum, 30% on parts from China and a top rate of 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico not covered under an existing 2020 trade agreement. That puts America's automakers and parts suppliers at a disadvantage against German, Japanese and South Korean vehicles that only face a 15% import tax negotiated by Trump last month.

I suspect the Ranger will continue to look more and more like a baby F-150 as opposed to a Maverick. Ford has also been pretty clear, a hybrid Ranger IS NOT coming to North America, if we want a hybrid truck we will either need to buy a Maverick or an F-150 - that is directly from Ford.

But I was told we wouldn’t be paying for these tariffs.
We have all been told that by he who will be un-named
And for anyone believing that I can sell you a bridge to Canada at before tariff prices
