Has anyone else noticed that it seems the vehicle now remembers the setting. I have typically disabled the setting as soon as I start my truck, but the past week I have notice the start/stop is set to off on start up. Truck seems to finally remember previous setting. maybe the latest OTA update fixed this issue?

What software you on? Might be mentioned in your release notes on ford pass app. Mine is v6.2.0 from April'25.

There are conditions where the ASS will not shut off the engine. Running the AC is one, low battery is another. So, now that it's getting hot, AC will run more. Also, could be an indication of low battery.

In some situations, your vehicle could restart before you release the brake pedal, for example:
  • To maintain interior comfort.
  • To recharge the battery.

I've noticed mine doing that recently also. So you are probably right it's the weather or battery. Thanks

I don't know if it applies to 6G, but on 5G, ASS was automatically disabled if you were in tow mode.

Jason B may have solved the mystery I was experiencing when I first got my Lariat with the 2.7 in early Sept 2024. While many members complained about the Auto Start/Stop, I was not experiencing it. I even posted some screen shots of my info screen. Then one day while showing my non-believing neighbor my truck running while in drive he laughed and said OK I believe you. I got half way around my neighborhood, stopped to chat with another neighbor and the truck shut off and continued to do so. Since then I am in the habit of hitting the button to cancel it. Now that it is hot in MA I am going to see if it keeps running with the AC on.

I figured out the mystery. Sport mode is the answer. Auto Stop/Start is disabled automaticlly in Sport mode.

But the truck starting in sport still requires you to push buttons. You push the ok button instead of the auto start/stop button
