Yup... What he said.....Have tons of stories over the years of the crack-head dealer lube techs screwing things up. The only way to know its right is to do it yourself..... I like to pre-fill the filter and/or cold flood before the 1st dry start after a change. There is no way anyone else will do that. I document the date and mileage of the service in the Ford Pass app. That should be enough if there is ever a question.
Exactly. No one will care for your truck they way that you will. The only time someone touches my vehicles is if it is something I'm not capable of doing myself.

I do the same. In addition, I upload receipts and photos to Carfax Car care so they are easily accessible.

Carfax Care? I’ll have to look into that. Sounds like a good place to keep it all organized & easily accessible by others. I like it - Thanks!

I do all the regular maintenance on my vehicles (oil changes - 5k OCI's, differential and transfer case fluids 30k OCI's, transmission fluid 30k OCI's, brake flushes and steering fluid).
OCI = Oil change, inspection?

Another way to document your oil changes is through regular oil analysis. Since our recommended OCI is 10,000 miles you'd only need to do it every 10,000 miles. I've found oil analysis is cheap insurance, it actually saved me a Jeep engine by detecting coolant contamination in the early stages which allowed me to replace a cylinder head instead of an entire engine.

You can document the oil changes in the fordpass app as well. The mopar idea seems interesting so I'll probably check that out as well. I've reached 10k miles so probably time to take it to dealer for the 10k inspection and a few recalls..sigh

Unless something has changed, that is valuable only for your own records. It doesn't use those entries into the CarFax report.
Correct. Like you said, it's for storing your own records and documents.
