I was under my truck yesterday looking at the exaust and could hear it in the brake line at the back of the truck. Radiated all the way back there. I didn’t even have my truck on or the keys with me, I had unlocked 30 min before that and it was still doing it. So annoyed. The case # Ford gave me 2 months ago is worthless, zero contact from them about it.

Very odd. I'll add that to my case. 😩

Hello,
Another ranger owner here experiencing the chirping,

I am pretty bad with cars, but is this part of the warm up process?
If not, did anyone get any answers from ford? I feel like if there is no clear answer, I don' think taking the ranger to get it checked out will cause nothing but just dealers shaking heads not sure what to do...

thank you!

Obviously a known issue. Waiting on Ford to do something.

My 25 RR has had the noise for months. Glad to hear that I am not the only one hearing the "digital cricket" under the hood. Thanks to the OP for creating this thread so I can reaffirm a small portion of my sanity.
Honestly, I am not that bothered by the digital cricket. If Ford would fix the rattling door lock switch, wind noise in the upper rear of the drivers door, and seat belt warning, then I could relax and focus all my mania on the digital cricket.

So far vehicles that I have also found video of are the (year not posted) bronco raptor, 2025 expedition, and now 2025 f150 with same digital cricket.

In the f150 above link thread, there was a helpful post that yes ford is aware, but not in a rush...

"
From a Ford Facebook group online:

"I have had my Tremor since April. In July, I had the two manufacturer recalls completed, that I assume the trucks sold after mine already had “fixed” before delivery. Well, this noise started for me as soon as I picked it up. In early October, I went to a Ford Owner event and was able to speak with the Ford Engineers about my experience with my truck. When I mentioned this clicking or chirping noise, one of the engineers immediately knew what I was talking about. That’s the good news. The bad news is that they don’t have a fix for it. I was told it did in fact have something to do with the recall in that the computer was calibrating whatever it was they fixed. So, unfortunately I wouldn’t expect a “fix” anytime soon."

So...might not even be worth taking it to the dealer. Sounds like this is actually happening on any Ford vehicle with the recall update on the electronic brake booster (Expeditions, Broncos, F-150s, etc)"

Didn't think my truck had this issue, but today when I was doing an oil change I could definitely hear it when I was removing the old oil filter. Then heard it some more on the short drive afterwards.

Don't know if it has been doing it all along and I just didn't notice because I normally have music on. I did reboot the ABS, AWD and PCM modules yesterday when I was in Forscan changing my tire diameter, so not sure if related or not.

2025 Ranger 2.3 xlt here. Truck has over 8000 miles. Still chirps when im slowing down to a stop then accelerate again after I left off brake. Sounds like a cricket. Hopefully there is an answer to this soon. Very annoying.

I drove my grandpa’s 2025 F150 the other day and it was making the sound too.

I traded my 2024 Ranger for a 2025 Bronco (Sept 2025 build date) in January. I hear the slight chirping sound under the dash as well. It begins at startup for less than 3 minutes. My research has turned up several causes: body control module relay, wastgate and now the brake booster noted here. Every issue seems to be met with "normal operation."

The sound is very repeatable. With the truck off in my garage and hood open, I can depress the brake and then very quickly within 3 to 4 seconds run around the door and put my ear to where the brake booster is and the sound is very audible and 1000% coming from there. It's not the wastegate area like others have said unless that's a separate noise they're talking about. Wish we all had some headway or direction on this.

You are correct, I am 10000% sure it has something to do with the brake booster and most guys started hearing the chirp after the brake booster software update that was done on the recall. yes, the bronco and F150 and expedition lines make the same noise. Not sure when those started but I have driven a bronco and F150 since mine started and they have the same chirp. I trust that Ford is well aware of it and is either not concerned or they don't care to address it, fearing yet another recall on the books. If they were smart, they would just push the fix as an OTA software push. Regardless I hate the sound and wish it was gone. But then again I also have a HVAC door actuator making noise to s0 lucky me.
