Until the truck can save all of my settings, I don't see a need for the ASS eliminator. I have to put the vehicle in "R" mode every time anyways.

does anyone know if the start stop function can be disabled with Forscan? dealer says no but can we believe anything a 25 year old service advisor who sold stereo's a month ago says. for years we have been told that these things can't be defeated as that is the way the national fuel average was tested, and just like that my 23 Lariat did not have start stop and my window sticker gave me a tiny credit for the elimination because Ford did not have the parts o include . I tried to plug a night light into the 120 volt outlets in the truck, some say that that tiny draw will cause the truck to not shut off, but neither of the 2 120 V outlets work. dealer says both of the outlets are bad, whats the chances of both outlets being bad? well I having waiting 4 months for the dealer to get them, he says they are on national backorder, for all these months? they look just like the same outlets on the F150 hmmmm. on my 22 Lariat I could defeat the start stop simply by unplugging the wire jack on the negative battery terminal with no problems effecting anything else but that does not seem to work on the 24.
Chances are, both outlets are fed from the same source. Have you checked upstream for a problem?

of course you are correct, both outlets are fed from the same inverter, hence if both plugs don't work it would stand to reason that the inverter is the problem, no so says the service advisor

No but some don't care.
Starters are cheap. I don’t care about replacing a starter. What I care about is shutting down and restarting a highly complex, turbocharged engine more times than necessary. Engines are happiest when they are running steady under a reasonable load. Why impose an ounce more wear-and-tear than necessary, just to save a spoonful of fuel?

I 100% agree, nothing good about the ASS system.

Aside from all the valid reason it is not good on the vehicles systems.

I find it incredibly annoying to have my truck die every time I stop.
Drives me nuts.

A Start stop eliminator devise is a must have first mod as soon as I can get it ordered and installed on the truck to permanently stop that BS.

Had the A.S.S. eliminator on my 2018 F-150. Loved it. Loved it so much, I bought one for my new 2025 Ranger. Will install it once it comes in.
