There is a spreadsheet of what has been done on Forescan on this site, (really out of my depth on that) Auto start/stop is in red which I think means it can’t be changed?
I had tried it and when I did got nasty messages that the battery monitor was disabled, so I quickly undid the Forscan change and stopped trying any other settings for this. That's why it's red on the spreadsheet. I left it there in case some day someone finds the magic hack.

On the Raptor, it will ask you to push “ok“ to resume sport mode, after starting the truck. Don’t push it, start/stop is enabled.

No, if you’ve set “start/stop” off in sport mode it won’t re-engage, until you’ve forgotten to push “ok“ at startup.

The whole issue is; you have to press something, either “ok” or start/stop off. With the 4D tech unit you don’t have to push anything, it already off.??
It's the same on my XLT FX4, it will ask if you want to return to sport mode, or tow/haul mode if that's what you were in when you shut off the truck.

So you have to push a button to stay in SPORT mode. Seems about the same as pushing a button to turn off auto start/stop. Why I went with 4D Tech override.

Exactly. I have conditioned myself to push the ASS button as soon as I turn the key.
In my '21, I would hit the tow/haul button instead, which improved shift strategy.

I thought about trying the Forscan settings as well but I'm still on the fence on installing the SS Elim. Pushing the button works for now for me.

I do have a 4D Tech SS Eliminator for sale in the classifieds too if anyone wanted one a little cheaper

Spending $100 so I don't have to hit a button near my right elbow to turn off the auto stop is the most remarkable waste of time and money I've heard. If I don't want it on I hit the button. Such a troublesome issue...

No, and I haven't heard of any vehicle with starter problems due to ASS.
That's sort of what I thought. I vaguely remember reading that the ASS doesn't cause starter issues, but don't recall where I read it.

How I waste my time and money isn’t your concern. I still think that is the single best $100 I have spent on my truck.

This is what AI said about it.

The starter motor in a Ford Ranger Raptor is designed to handle the increased number of starts and stops

The auto start-stop system may not shut off the engine if the battery is charging, the engine is warming up, or if the air conditioning or heat is being used.

While I don't have it, I will still agree with you. People spend a whole lot of money on other "upgrades" that others find a waste of money.
