I had tried it and when I did got nasty messages that the battery monitor was disabled, so I quickly undid the Forscan change and stopped trying any other settings for this. That's why it's red on the spreadsheet. I left it there in case some day someone finds the magic hack.

No, if you’ve set “start/stop” off in sport mode it won’t re-engage, until you’ve forgotten to push “ok“ at startup.
The whole issue is; you have to press something, either “ok” or start/stop off. With the 4D tech unit you don’t have to push anything, it already off.
So you have to push a button to stay in SPORT mode. Seems about the same as pushing a button to turn off auto start/stop. Why I went with 4D Tech override.

Owners come here to complain about it but when presented with a viable fix, they balk at it because they have to spend money to fix it………..hilarious.
That's sort of what I thought. I vaguely remember reading that the ASS doesn't cause starter issues, but don't recall where I read it.
