DTE with the Long Range America 35 gallon fuel tank (500+ miles range now)

Hi, I’ve added the 35 gallon tank and it’s amazing. Over 500mi of range with full tanks when driving from the east coast to the Rockies this summer. It’s frustrating to have the DTE read 300ish at fill up when I’ve updated the tank in forscan. Anyone had any luck fixing it?

Did you update the plain English or As Built setting? On my F350 I updated the plain English setting for tank size and the DTE reads better. I don't think there are many on this board with the LRA tanks installed.

I would love to see Ford make the stock tank a 25 gallon. That would bump up fillups roughly an additional 100 miles. Heck, even my 2002 F-150 has a 22 gallon tank.

So you're the 73 year old driving a Ranger 59 in the 75 zone.

Why stop at 25... I would love to see a 36 gal tank the way these babies can suck gas

We don't have any of those zones around here. Max zones is 110km/h(68mph). I in Canada so totally different than USA.

What did you update? the fuel tanks size ? did you also do a PCM relearn from central configuration? probably a requirement in this case....

i didnt do the PCM. I’ll check into it this weekend. Thanks.

Did the PCM relearn solve the issue? I just installed my tank and am having trouble getting the dte to display right as well.

Following this as well; have done a few longer range trips in the RR and would love the added capacity. How bad is the install? Pretty straightforward?

I have one sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. Pretty sure Long Range America has a link in their install instructions on how to update the DTE using Forscan.

Is the OEM Ranger Super Duty tank adaptable to the NA standard Ranger? I know it would require metal fabrication but I do wonder if it shares some dimensions

2.7L… have managed 500 miles on highway driving. Moderate speeds 60-72 mpg. Some city driving with stopping/idle. Flat highways with warmer temps. 18.2 gals at fill up so yes tank about empty. DTE-1
