Which is a shame - the 6g Ranger is great!

Actually, I really have to wonder sometimes if Ford NA actually wanted to get back into the mid-sized truck market again. Its a far better trunk than the Tacoma, yet Ford NA seems to have absolutely no interest in competing. Even though most reviews call it the most comfortable, best handling and strongest tow vehicle, and it gets as good or better fuel economy than the 4 cyl Taco, its still at the bottom of the list, sales wise. Its odd, but I really can't remember seeing a US Ford Ranger commercial since this really, really good one in 2023 for the 2024 model. Then nothing, its like Ford just decided to quit pushing them.

Well, in all fairness Matt, the F 150 and the Exploders are the sacred cash cows. But, doesn't stop Toyota from pushing the Tacoma and the Tundra hard. But reading Q2 2026 Ford Sales and Production Report are giving me an uneasy feeling, there has been a strong entry-level demand for the Ranger XL (up 24.5%) but Rangers are only up 3.3% YTD, and down 9.8% per same Qtr of 2025. But the real tell is looking at the overall production figures, total Rangers produced was 34,473 units YTD, but the Bronco is at 85,518 units YTD.

So until they actually state something, I'm not convinced the NA Ranger is even going to be around, since its seems to be the red headed stepchild of Ford NA...

You are correct, the Ranger won't be around much longer for North America. The 2028 model year is likely the last year for Ranger in North America and it will no longer be built at MAP. MAP will continue building the Bronco, a new Bronco pickup, and a new Lincoln version of the Bronco. MAP becomes 100% Bronco centric.

TTP becomes the plant that will produce the F-100 which will be the Ranger replacement for North America. We can expect a Powerboost hybrid version, a Super Duty version and multiple cab/bed combinations. Being under the F-series umbrella it will no longer be the red headed stepchild.

A major reason the Ranger was brought back in 2019 was to support Bronco production at MAP. Between the two they were able to have enough volume to fill MAP's production lines.

Well, I wouldn't mind an F 100 Ranger. My very first new Ford was a fire engine red 1975 F 100 Ranger 302, loved that truck.

As far as the rest goes, we'll just have to see.

Renaming the Ranger to F100 would make sense for Ford’s bean counters. Given their obsession with the F series overall.

Next shoe to drop will be info about F-100 at TTP. That may take some time. As posted above, MAP becomes 100% Bronco centric. Makes complete sense to have those three products all at MAP.
