With 250K miles.......I'm surprised that's posted as a good example. It's not even ten years old now. Although I probably won't own my Ranger past ten years so maybe it doesn't matter.

This is what a new belt looks like. It isn't like old rubber belts. It's Kevlar reinforced. That belt is in need of replacement, lots of cracking in that pic, would hate to see what the opposite side of that belt looks like.
Exactly. The pic you posted looked like a fine belt. These people who are bitching about new technology and ways of doing things are hilariously ignorant. This is what a new belt looks like. It isn't like old rubber belts. It's Kevlar reinforced.

Not this owner, but be ready for 16mpg.Putting a 3.0 in a regular Ranger, is gonna piss off some Raptor owners, maybe.![]()
Bingo!With 250K miles.......
The Tremor was reported by Ford Authority and other sites latched onto that initial story. There is no corroboration. I can't find anything official from Ford or anywhere else that we are getting one in the US. I sure hope we do, but at this point I honestly won't be surprised if we don't.I agree it would seem odd to change the f150 and continue the 2.7 in other vehicles. I would expect the 2.7 to disappear also. Maybe not this next year.
i would expect it to be detuned from the raptor but there are still a lot of raptor features that set it apart.
i wonder if the new tremor might have the 3.0? We haven’t heard a peep about something that was supposed to arrive in late 2026. Now likely a 2027 trim.
the only thing I found was a video in Spanish where the Ford exec from South America said that just like was announced by the North American exec, South America would get the tremor too.The Tremor was reported by Ford Authority and other sites latched onto that initial story. Another possibility is that they drop the 2.7 and add a 2.3 Powerboost hybrid. It would have more torque and HP than the 2.7.I agree it would seem odd to change the f150 and continue the 2.7 in other vehicles. I would expect the 2.7 to disappear also. Maybe not this next year.

yes but only until the battery is depleted.Another possibility is that they drop the 2.7 and add a 2.3 Powerboost hybrid. It would have more torque and HP than the 2.7.
Thank you for that! At least that's somewhat official. Personally I'm hoping it's real and comes in 2027. In which case I plan to buy one.the only thing I found was a video in Spanish where the Ford exec from South America said that just like was announced by the North American exec, South America would get the tremor too.
its about half way in. or maybe I misunderstood it From the translation.
So I assume there was some sort of verbal announcement at the Detroit auto show that the press was privy to.
That's not NA official. That's ROW official. If you notice, the number of Ranger models in the ROW is increasing. Australia is now up to 9 Ranger models, including the Tremor, not counting the hybrid models. Mexico is getting a Tremor and they already have the diesel and the Wildcat, South America is getting the Tremor, they already have the diesel and Wildcat as well. We HAD the Tremor, but then is simply disappeared without any warning; BUT it was going to return for 2024!, then it was going to return for 2025!, then Ford Authority proclaimed it was going to return before the end of the 2026 model year!. Well, order banks for the 2027 Ranger will open soon, so.... Until Ford corporate announces it, its not official. So until they actually state something, I'm not convinced the NA Ranger is even going to be around, since its seems to be the red headed stepchild of Ford NA... Plus, we have the NEW mid-sized Fathom truck coming for 2027. Kind of makes me think about a conversation I had back in 2011, "Ford will NEVER delete the Ranger, its just too popular." Flash forward to 2019, "Ford will NEVER delete the Taurus..." Who knows....Thank you for that! At least that's somewhat official. Personally I'm hoping it's real and comes in 2027. In which case I plan to buy one.
Edit: Looks like South America is getting a 2.3 in their Tremor: https://fordauthority.com/2026/01/ford-ranger-tremor-heading-to-south-america-with-new-engine/
