Hennesey tune/mods to 500HP for around $25K.
I'd like to know who their OEM is for the Velociraptor custom front and rear bumpers. 3-year/36K miles warranty (backed by Ford, I think).
Hennessey Elevates Ford Ranger Raptor to 500-HP 'VelociRaptor 500'
  • 500 bhp production version of the new Hennessey’ VelociRaptor 500′ Ranger boosts factory horsepower output by more than 20 percent
  • Exclusive upgrade available for the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 in the flagship Ford Ranger Raptor
  • ‘VelociRaptor 500’ Ranger is the most powerful warrantied midsize pickup available today

I still have a B5 S4. Like 3 motors later but 500hp range. Every time I drive it it breaks.
Yep and that's why I sold mine lol. I owned it when i was 18-23 so in no position to pay for that upkeep. Everytime I drove it I was on edge for whatever was gonna break next. Breaks, timing belt, clutch etc.

Still nothing quite like that car and now that I'm in a different phase of life I'd buy it back in a heartbeat if I could find the same exact model. Mine was the nogaro blue with the matching blue interior.

Dang you should have kept that. You could have probably sold it on Bring A Trailer with that color combo and pay off your new truck now a days. Mine is that basic silver. And has 168k ish miles on it before the odometer stopped working. Hahaha I bought it around 2002. It’s fun as fuck when it runs. However I would never take it on a road trip.

I still have a B5 S4. Like 3 motors later but 500hp range. Every time I drive it it breaks. My daily is a stock 2021 BMW M3 Base with a manual and I beat the hell out of it and never breaks down. However I just had to get new brakes that were like $3k. Hahah

I’m for sure going to get the Ranger Raptor tuned!
brakes are not cheap.

She pretty.!! Dope garage. Every car/ truck toy I buy I put a BBK on it. It’s super annoying for my wallet but usually my first mod. I just like the aesthetics. Hey Brembo are you listening

Going fast never hurt anyone. Sudden abrupt stop does... Invest where it matters

if you are going to tune it you need good fuel, the engine of the raptor, if tuned, will ping badly if low quality fuel is used.

I hope this thread is not indicative to the average advice given. The thoughts on which fuel to use is understood by a few but some of the answers are astonishingly funny!

87 because that is what ford rated the engine on for power/fuel economy. (2.3L)

The 2.7l and 3.0l were rated on premium fuel.
I’m pretty sure the 2.7 calls for 87 octane, with premium recommended for best performance under severe duty, such as towing.

I am only replying to this since I got an email. I said rated as in the rated horsepower/torque numbers provided by ford. The 2.3l was rated on 87 octane, but the 2.7, and 3.0l were not.

So yes, you can use 87 in all of them, but only the 2.3L achieves it's rated power numbers on 87 octane.
