KO3's - Traction wise I think they're pretty great, but I'm at 13k miles and my only real complaint is they're really loud now. I feel like it got real bad around 10K.

The 23 Ranger tremor had general Grabber tires, and I felt there was a lot of vibration even after balancing. My wife didn’t notice it as much. The 25 Ranger has the stock Wranglers which have no vibration at all but I want a beefier tire so hearing this about KO3s is useful. My F150 had Cooper Discover tires which aren’t bad at low speed but get a little talkative at high speeds. Not too bad though.
based on all this, if I was gonna try a tire I’d probably look at Falken wildpeaks

My KO3's were great for the 1 winter and 13K miles I put on them. The only reason I replaced them is because I wanted fatter, beefier tires. When I was shopping for tires I looked at KO3's but the size I wanted only came in a Load Range F KO3. That eliminated those real quick. I was looking for something that wasn't 10 ply, hell no on the 12 plies.

Bad luck to have an issue on round one but to have an issue with round two, the second set as well? Sure it could happen but I'd be starting to look at some sort of driveline thing, wheel, hub, driveshaft out of balance. Just playing the odds of getting two sets of bad tires from a company as large and successful as BFG, and their signature truck tire.
Not to say it can't happen, have had bad tires that wouldn't balance, from several different brands over the years; just the odds are not on the side of getting bad tires in succession.

I'm at 25000 miles and loving them. Will definitely buy them again when they wear out. Have been great in any conditions, rain, snow, "light" mudding, sand, dirt, rocks, gravel. Pretty good all around tire in my opinion.

Had General Grabbers on a previous vehicle and they would sort of flat spot if the truck sat for any more than a day or two and would take a few miles to stop vibrating when I did take it out.

I loved the KO3 for the first year. after 15k miles, they progressively got louder. I've rotated with every oil change. Now, at 28k miles, I'm shopping. Can't handle the noise any more.

Have Falken AT4Ws on both my RRs and love them.
Pretty much use Falken AT3W or At4W on all my trucks.

Always was a fan of Maxxis on my ATVs and UTVs .
Never tried them on a street legal passenger vehicle.

The original set of KO3's that came on my Ranger Raptor were almost impossible to keep balanced. I had them road force balanced 6 or 7 times and they still had issues. I drove them until they wore and replaced them with a new set thinking I just got a bad tire. Well.... the new set is even worse. With under 2000 miles on them I cannot get them to balance. I had 3 different places try to balance and even though they got close none were perfect and the tire just got progressive worse.
I am looking at Maxxis RAZR AT's. Has anyone had experience with these? What other tire types should I look into? I live in Utah so they need to perform in the snow and in the desert.
I have a 2024 Lariat and changed out the factory tires and wheels. So far I’m really liking the Nokian Nat’s and they do look good and perform well 3/4 seasons. Winter in snow great but not so good on icy conditions but it’s an AT tire (still three peak) not a winter tire. Will go to a pure winter tire with the old factory wheels next year as our Canadian Midwest winters can be a bit harsh.

But I do really like my Nokian tires. Ban ed well fairly quiet on highway too. Food for thought. Cheers

Quality control on BFGs is very hit or miss. LOTS of reports of them being "squares" and hard to balance. They like to dry rot in the sun. Tread tends to wear funny. Yet there are some guys who love them.

I've had tremendously good luck with Falkens. The A/T, A/T3W, and now A/T4W have been flawless for me over the years.

I had the GY Wrangler Duratrac's (non rt version) on my ram. The traction was excellent in dry and snow. The road noise was minor, but I was expecting that with the deep tread, mine were the load range c.

Big BFG fan myself. I actively have a BFG variant on three vehicles. That said, if I were to swap, I'd be looking at Falken. I had them in the past and they were fantastic. Wore like iron but had great ride quality. Got the job done off road and on road alike.

I'm a fan of the Falkens as well. I run the AT3W's on my Bronco....but holy cow they have gotten loud recently. I rotated them and they got louder.

Strange, we run them as our standard fleet tyre on our vans and F150, guys love them.
This is my second set with issues. I have spoken with 4 tire stores and it appears to be a common issue. All have recommended other brands. To be clear, I have run BFG All Terrains of various evolutions since 1998 on every vehicle I have owned from Jeeps, Tacomas, Tundras, Grenadier, Ranger Raptor, etc... I am very familiar with the tire and these appear to be inconsistent in quality at best. Edited to add I have 38k miles on my truck for reference.
