I perfered both my rangers over the oil filter on the escape. lol my 08 4x2 I never even had to use ramps or a jack to do oil change. my 25 I do to get the skid plate off. And to lower the driverside tire enough to go through the wheelwell. just 1 push pin and reach in through. I loved how my 08 3.0L V6 had the funnel built onto the frame rail kinda like the 25 2.3L i4.I came from a 12 escape too - it was a dream to work on. Engine bay was especially was well thought out - oil change, filters, battery swap, everything was easy.
Pretty happy with the Ranger, but it would be nice if I didn’t have to contort my arm like I’m going through an exorcism to change the filter on the MPC.
Definitely concur with the seats though - the base Ranger seat is amazing in comparison.
